One of the fun parts of being the host network of the debate is finding out first who the campaigns are lining up to spin for them post-debate.
The campaign with the most interesting spinners on their team for tomorrow's CNBC/MSNBC/WSJ debate: Fred Thompson. His campaign has requested Spin Room credentials for one-time presidential hopeful/former Virginia Sen. George Allen as well as Liz Cheney, daughter of VP Cheney.

I did that. If I change the headline, then you can’t search it, right? I would be glad to change it if I could think of a better way to say it.
Right. I’d leave it alone. Some get upset if you change the original title anyway. I’m not sure you’re supposed to.
Don’t worry about it, lol.
.
Title (FReeper comment)
Don’t blame yourself
Bad idea, because if you do that and another freeper posts the article after not finding it posted with the original title will get a "all ready posted" I've seen it to many times
Why? What did she accomplish worth anything in 'mideastern affairs'?
Maybe she'll bring in her hubby, big time lockheed Martin lobbyist and associate of Chertoff.
But maybe this is why he (Philip Perry) quit his job as head council for Homeland Security. He said it was to 'spend more time with the family'. He had a bit of a problem when he was head council at DHS.(not to mention questionable prosecutions of border agents at the request of Mexico)

Exposing the Dept. of Job Security (who is Philip Perry?)
[snip]Walker said the problem is "systemic" and not the fault of any single individual. But he complained that GAO has had to go through the office of General Counsel Philip Perry. Perry is married to Elizabeth Cheney, a former State Department official who is one of the vice president's two daughters. Walker said it is his understanding that people from Perry's office have to review documents GAO seeks before they are released and selectively sit in on interviews with department employees.
Yes, read my post #23 Kaslin.
When I said ‘write in’ I meant to be saying ‘ask the mods’ about it.
Chuck Todd... piss-boy for the DNC.
Not sure why some are offended.
I called out a person the other day on the impression that Thompson wasn’t a serious candidate until he officially engaged in “debates”. The reason that person so eagerly wanted the debate, but wasn’t honest enough to admit, is because you don’t really debate. You play “gotcha” the whole night, then your representatives run to the cameras and start ripping your opponents and spinning you as the second coming of the Lord. Or in this Context of a GOP primary fight...It would be Ronald Reagan for conservatives.
It’s already started. Hewitt’s making a fool of himself again by mocking Thompson’s choice of Allen. I wonder if Hugh remembers Allen was a pretty good conservative representative that only barely lost Virginia despite an all out assault by WAPO and a bad year for Republicans? One we could have used about now. Seems to me that attacking Allen who clearly had a lot of support in Virginia and knowledge of its distriicts, is a damn foolhardy move since I bet in the unlikely event Romney did win, Hugh, you would want access to his voter rolls, knowledge of the ins and outs of Virgina and contacts.
I like Allen better then Spencer, that’s for certain. And no, I wasn’t among the number hitching up to the Allen ‘08 Presidential sweepstakes. Count me as someone that was more enamored with the wish Cheney would run. Bringing me to the second name on the list. The Cheney’s are the ONLY ones left in the W.H. I still like. I like her as a choice.
For the others-
— John McCain: S.C. Sen. Lindsey Graham and former Sen. Phil Gramm.
— Mitt Romney: A Michigan focus for his spinners, including brother Scott Romney and ‘06 GOP senate nominee Mike Bouchard.
— Rudy Giuliani: former Mass. Gov. Paul Cellucci (only on Romney duty?) and noted economist Michael Boskin.
Figures Mccain would have Lindsey out there. y
Thank you.
You’re welcome.
Maybe if Mary Cheney would have been on his campaign team, it would leave the democrats stunned. Would they attack a lesbian?
Hugh Hewitt is becoming more of a shrill shill by the day.
Ghost written by Spritz Matthews...
Well, it IS PMSNBC, after all. I don’t know of many conservatives who watch the network’s line-up.
Democrats don’t spin, they lie. Then MSNBC repeats the lies.
I watched hardball tonight and it seems like Fred has to hit a homerun tomorrow or he will be attacked by the liberal media.
They have already said his campaign is a bust and this debate will make or break him. Seems like they are putting a lot more pressure on him than anyone else.
One thing about Matthews, he is hated by both sides. The moonbats seem to hate him as much as the conservatives do.
They would and they have.
rofl
Allen was undisciplined. He made a lot of mistakes.
There was an interesting article in the NYT (I think) comparing an Obama event in IA versus a Thompson event. Obama made sure to actually ask the people to vote for him and his volunteers were getting everyone to fill out contact cards and to volunteer to be captains and to contact others. Volunteers were at every door.
Fred didn't ask anyone to vote for him, didn't collect any names or contact information.
Please spin that form me to explain how a such a lazy, clueless campaign is not going to make for such a lazy, clueless administration? Are you going to try and argue that the R result in IA isn't decided by ground game?
