Compared to the NY TIMES accounting of this simple story, this one could win the pulitzer.

Actually, it was a stroke of genius on the Dems part to do this...they were seeing that this story could not be ignored by the MSM. So what do they do? Ingratiate themselves in a positive way so that the MSM have good quotes from them...if you don’t know this story, the Dems come out looking good.

I was struck at how these people really are in an altered universe, and so devoid of reality.

Don't kid yourself. They know exactly what the reality is. They are lying to distort reality to fool the American public, most of whom are uninformed and uninterested. The accuracy of the charge is not important, it is the seriousness of the charge that is.

I am inclined to punch my father in law in the nose and never speak to them again... but I have to keep those feelings to myself.

I feel your pain.

MGD's older brother is a Canadian (yes, he gave up his citizenship) ethics and philosophy professor who specializes in health care and end of life (read "assisted suicide") issues. His wife just got her Phd in "womyns studies". Of course the sun shines out of their collective posteriors, or so my hubby's parents believe.

They heed every word he says, donate to Greenpeace, listen to NPR...I could go on. Needless to say there's a lot of tongue biting that goes on. And that is not in my nature, so once in a while I slip. Thus far, we've managed to be cordial...

The 'problem'... is that Reid's Senate attack on Limbaugh WAS covered and covered well. Too many people saw it start. This is one scam that ain't gonna' fly.

lambasting the syndicate's Rush Limbaugh, who had recently criticized U.S. troops who were against the war in Iraq.

No professional integrity by the author of this piece whatsoever - just keeps on repeating the same falsehood.

YES, but if you don’t know that what Rush really said, and who he was referring to, then this softens things for the Dems..and that’s precisely what it was meant to do. Look at the coverage...although the Dems started this, perpetrated the crime and Rush was the one who turned the lemon into lemonade, who gets 50% of the positive coverage? The Dems. I think they took an awful mistake and did the best they could. Of course, they knew their willing accomplices in the Press would carry their water...and, predictably, they did.

Neely Tucker is an ad copy writer for the DNC

That is a spot-on description!

"If I was her editor, she’d be fired."

She is a HE!!

That pony-tail he wears is a 'hippie left-over' and he thinks it makes him cool.

If you remember before the auction... both sides of the story were pretty much out there. Granted... the DBM made it look like Limbaugh was trying to spin his comment... but even the sheeple knew that Reid wasn't devising a way to generate money for the children of KIA Marines.

This one bowel movement the DBM will fail to pass.

It was funny to listen to Dingy Harry try to lay claim for this. He is such a lousy liar.

Dear Lady J,

If I was his editor, I would put him in a succession program and promote him as soon as possible.

He did his job and he did it well. ...oh wait, you think he is a jounalist? I’m sorry, although I can understand why you would think that, the fraud is impressive.

Try these goggles on:

He is an ad copy writer for the marketing firm of Main Stream and Media with the DNC as their largest political client leveraging the most powerful marketing channels known to man.

It is sickening, but at least the attention can be turned to exposing the fraud any of this has to do with jounalism.

Hope this doesn’t come as too much of a shock.

Best regards, Eddie

if Bush had fought back the way Rush fights back, we'd be looking at an entirely different situation now. He'd have support, his policies would have triumphed, and the Dems would all be trying to claim credit for the Iraq war.

If he had done that we would comtrol Congress, and nobody would care what the RATS said about Iraq.

You don’t ignore these people, you don’t try to appease these people, you don’t apologize to these people, you fight them.

And you don't even EXPLAIN yourself to these people. They are masters of twisting words into Orwellian opposites and having them parroted by their toady media.

Fighting these people does take extra brain: a little humor and a lot of charity made this a spectacular win for Rush. He may have had to take a few neurons from behind his back for this. Priceless.

If I thought I couldn't love Rush any more than I did, I was wrong.

Another inaccuracy. He said, “more than 60 bids”.

The correct number is 213 bids with 1,078,443 page views.

It’s like Rush says, they can’t be bothered to check their facts, although I found this out simply by looking at the ebay page.

“For anyone who has followed this story... it speaks volumes!”

Of course it does, but I want it to get to people who haven’t followed it.

The point is they know they are lying, and have no shame.

I don't buy its a smart thing to do. A smart thing to do would admit the mistakes and grow up.

They don't.

Look what happened with the immigration debate. They were assailed and were stung by the response of the public.

20 years ago they would have gotten away with it, but with more alternative sources out there in the media growing, and the major networks losing ground, they are looking more insipid and pathetic.

Truth in the end will always win out.
