I agree with most of it. But, when you cede the possibility that you just might, or even definitely would, expend your precious franchise on a Democrat-lite candidate with an “R” next to their name, you’ve already surrendered to the Left. I find it sad that you can’t see that. They’ve got you right where they want you. You have no power left to influence anything. You’re already completely in their pocket.
We’ll be in even worse shape if a liberal is nominated. Why? Because the GOP will be dead. Probably permanently. You’re helping bring about what you fear the most.
I do not believe I’m in anyone’s “pocket”. I’ve tried to make my position perfectly clear but sometimes I believe that people aren’t really hearing what I’m saying. I DO NOT SUPPORT GIULIANI. But I do support our military men and women. They already have a life on this earth and I will NOT abandon them to the Dems.

Well, that attempt at hanging on to the majority certainly failed. And now we’re not only stuck with the moderates and RINOS, but now we have out and out abortionist liberals trying to take over the party. If that happens, the Republican party is just as evil as the Democrats. Last one out, turn off the lights.
I don’t know how you can say that I am bringing about what I fear the most by saying that I will vote against the Democrats on the final election day. When push comes to shove, and we have but two choices (and you can mark my words that there will ONLY be two choices)....I WILL vote for the best candidate. And that sure isn’t going to be a Democrat.
Perhaps if the Conservative is lacking in charisma and the liberal is not... Bob Dole comes to mind... But Conservative ideology always trumps the liberal.
And who in this field best fits this description that can also bring together Reps and Dems as Ronald the Great did?
Best fit is Hunter, then Tancredo... I would begrudgingly give Thompson an outside chance. The rest are dross.
You want to know the biggest irony? If we did have a new, truly conservative party, it would actually take about five minutes before either the Republicans or the Democrats, depending on where you are, would be the “third party.”
I can tell you one thing, EternalVigilance, if I had a child walking this earth right now and I had to choose between his/her life and that of an unborn child in my womb, I would save the life of my child that had already been born. Praise God that I have never had to make that choice. Amen.
