"I speak for at least half the people here, including the Founder Jim Robinson, who has stated he will not vote for Giuliani under any circumstance."

Agree.

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIFE

Don't Cut and Run, vote pro-life every time. It's the way you always win.

‘We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life — the unborn — without diminishing the value of all human life.’ —Ronald Reagan

It’s different NOW, and you know it.

A person of your stature who stands on principle is rare these days. You are an example and an encouragement.

I’ve been here 10 years longer than you..back when we were all fighting for the same things...I guess it’s easier when there’s a common enemy..Now, we just eat our own...that’s why we’ll lose this Country. Republicans cannot see the big picture. Newt did, but we let them bring him down and then we deserted him. That’s what we do...we bury our wounded...Libs knight theirs until that’s all people remember.

You’re back pedaling now and you know it. If radical Islam wasn’t on the warpath in the ‘90s then I don’t know what you would call all that. I didn’t list the thousands of other attacks that didn’t get media attention.

While that is probably a very true statement, the fact is the majority of Americans are not obsessing about the issue for the elections. It will not be at the top of the agenda for which the majority vote. Just a fact IMO.
***What about the majority of republicans? This is a big issue for millions of socon voters, which is a solidly republican voting bloc.

Wow you sure don’t know much, Muslims have been attacking and killing Americans and our soldiers for many years. Look it up on the internet, the list is long but you can learn something.

Here is the big picture. If Hillary wins Republicans might actually oppose some of what she wants. If Rudy wins the Republicans will help him do what Hillary would do if she had won.

It's ridiculous to think Hillary will win against any Republican.

The pursuit of LIFE, liberty and happiness.

Murder is murder. It does not matter if the human life is outside of the womb or inside.

God expects more of you sir

God also expects persons to be compassionate, so perhaps God expects more of YOU, sir, and perhaps he will keep you from the kind of suffering that the poster to whom you are responding had to endure. One of the impossibly grating things about some wings of the pro-life movement is its strong preference for the life of the child over the life of the mother. Hard cases, like Shady's, may make bad law, as the axiom goes, but in any event, some compassion from you, instead of harrassing, is in order.

That statement is absurd. Abortion to save the life of the mother was legal in all fifty states before Roe v. Wade.

“And shame on you for planning and scheming to vote for a murderer of helpless innocent babies.”

I consider those who sit on the sidelines or use the excuse of “states rights” to defend their inaction just as guilty. Taking of an innocent human life isn’t a medical proceedure like having a hangnail removed.

The unborn deserve the same RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS guaranteed by the US Constitution as those who are born should have.

Since Roe v. Wade came along, it’s no longer a “states rights” issue...the courts have already taken it out of their hands. That can never be used as an excuse for inaction on the issue of life.

Candidates who consistently stick up for protection of the unborn are the only ones worthy of the nomination and anything less is totally unacceptable.

Here's a real keeper.

Abortion is not about saving women’s lives!

Studies Find Abortions Have Long-Term Effects

45,951,133

Total Abortions since 1973

------------------------------------------------------------

Why the drop after 1960? (in deaths of women from illegal abortions)

The reasons were new and better antibiotics, better surgery and the establishment of intensive care units in hospitals. This was in the face of a rising population. Between 1967 and 1970 sixteen states legalized abortion. In most it was limited, only for rape, incest and severe fetal handicap (life of mother was legal in all states). There were two big exceptions — California in 1967, and New York in 1970 allowed abortion on demand. Now look at the chart carefully.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Abortion Statistics - Decision to Have an Abortion (U.S.)

· 25.5% of women deciding to have an abortion want to postpone childbearing

· 21.3% of women cannot afford a baby

· 14.1% of women have a relationship issue or their partner does not want a child

· 12.2% of women are too young (their parents or others object to the pregnancy)

· 10.8% of women feel a child will disrupt their education or career

· 7.9% of women want no (more) children

· 3.3% of women have an abortion due to a risk to fetal health

2.8% of women have an abortion due to a risk to maternal health

----------------------------------------------------------------------

So how many women’s lives have been saved by abortion?

Only about 3% of abortions since 1972 were reported to be “due to a risk to maternal health.” A reasonable person would recognize that not all of those cases represent a lethal risk. But let’s say they did. That means that nearly 45 million fetuses were butchered to save the lives of about 1.3 million women. Or put another way; 35 babies are killed to save each woman.

Abortion was legal in all 50 states prior to Roe v. Wade in cases of danger to the life of the woman.

God help us if Fred is nominated...he is incompetant to run for President...it’s amazing that you don’t see that.

It's amazing that you don't see that Guiliani is the worst possible candidate. First, he can't possibly win. His lack of support among conservative Republicans dooms his candidacy from the start. Second, If he were to win the nomination, the loss of the presidency would be overshadowed by the destruction of the Republican party, the only thing standing between total liberal Democrat control of our Country. Nominating a candidate who goes against not just a few but almost every principle of the Republican party would be a demonstration to everyone that Republicans stand for nothing. Such a party could not continue to exist as any effective form of opposition to the Democrats.

I think the fear of Hillary and the Democrats is overdone. Unless Democrats win overwhelming majorities in the House and the Senate, even Hillary will have a hard time getting her more radical ideas put into law.

The result of nominating Guilinai would be catastrophic. Hillary would be the next president for sure. Hillary would be bad for the Country, yes. The destruction of the only party that can effectively oppose the march towards liberalism would be worse.

"God help us if Fred is nominated...he is incompetant to run for President...it’s amazing that you don’t see that."

I never once mentioned Fred, so you may want to cool it on the assumptions.

"No way Romney could win a general election."

Actually he could, and so could most of the other GOP candidates as well. So why vote for the most liberal one of the bunch (Rudy) in the primaries? The "only Rudy can beat Hillary" canard isn't flying, Hildy.

I see. So comparisons with Hitler’s ordering the murder of 6 million Jewish Europeans and pro-abortion politicians active working for the murder of 44 million plus American children (not to mention that millions upon millions of foreign abortions that they would like to fund) are not fair game.

Then you, sir/maam, do not get the issue.

These are human lives. Both Rudy and Hillary are just fine with allowing this holocaust of the womb to take place. They may not order it like Hitler did, but by their policies they do nothing to stop it and by their words and votes they support it. That, is murder, and short of comparing it to Hitler or Stalin we simply have NO FRAME OF REFERENCE in modern times to speak of the scope of this tragedy. It is not ‘absurd’. It is a very logical comparison between two cultures who did not value life.

As far as I am concerned, Life is the only issue. That means NO RUDY!!!!

I agree that life is an important issue, but if it's the only issue, then a lot of people around here may as well team up with radical Islam, which also prohibits abortion. If you stay home, should Rudy Guiliani become the Repub candidate, you're helping to take us pretty far down the road to wearing burkas and praying toward Mecca.

Wiki sez...

“The decision overturned all state and federal laws outlawing or restricting abortion that were inconsistent with its holdings.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roe_v._Wade

Check this link, too.

“As a result, the laws of 46 states were affected by the Court’s ruling.”

You must be young, TigersEye.
I remember the day we went from being a pro-life country,
to being a pro-choice country...all at the hands of the...

God fearing people will vote for Rudy over Hillary. But the numer of socons that won’t vote for him will be more than made up with moderate dems, the ones who will decide this election. So...do what you want.
