Wednesday Cloture Vote Set For DREAM Act Amnesty Bill (October 23) Last night, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed to invoke cloture on S. 2205, Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin’s (D-Ill.) new stand-alone DREAM Act amnesty bill. The cloture vote, for which 60 YES votes are necessary to prevent a filibuster on the measure, is set for Wednesday, October 24. This is the email I sent to Kennedy and Kerry:
Dear Senator Kennedy;
I urge you to vote against the DREAM Act (S. 2205).
The DREAM Act is not a small amnesty for a select group of individuals. In fact, it allows illegal “teens” (i.e., anyone under 30) to bring in their parents, leading eventually to their aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins.
This a back door amnesty for the parents of these illegal “teens,” and a chain migration nightmare for the country. Please support the American people by opposing this amnesty.

NO, this has been slated for before Thanksgiving for some time. If it was sneaked in it is because no one was paying the slightest bit of attention.
