What happens next if the majority votes yes?
The cloture vote cuts off debate (if they get 60). Then, the full Senate votes on the bill, and it only needs a simple majority (IIRC). If it gets that majority, it goes to the House.

I called and thanked several of the senators for what they said about the children of REAL immigrants being left out of this...
I’m a REAL immigrant and this is a slap in the face...

Yep, fires in the West make a great distraction, plus the open borders types just keep coming back. Not enough voters are calling and urging a no vote. I got through easily this time. That is a bad sign.

Are you sure this is a cloture vote?
I think they bypassed that and went straight to an actually vote...

Yes, it is. Thanks for your calls. I too have been making them. This is just so unfair and I am so sick of the sob stories. This is just an extension of anchor babies. These kids are illegals and they have NO ONE to blame except their own parents. Clinton voted Yes. Pandering.

Bush will sign. Illegal "children" will get paid scholarships from Mexico in droves, "attend" college for two years and flunk out. Then get menial jobs and send the money back to Mexico.
this was your country.
