The difference myth
Boston Globe ^ | October 28, 2007 | Caryl Rivers and Rosalind C. Barnett

WOMEN ARE THE chatty sex, using three times as many words each day as men. They are society's great communicators. The verbal parts of their brains are larger than men's and they are hard-wired for empathy, but they lack a natural ability to reach the top levels of math and science.

An interesting left wing (of course) take on the recent sex difference studies.

In the middle of this article there is a place where people can post their opinions on the issue. And the first ones I saw clearly are of the opinion the there are differences between the sexes.

One lady said she thought she could raise all children the same and then she had two of each. I'll trust her study.

Ignoring that the article demeans women purporting they
"lack a natural ability to reach the top levels of math and science"
(meaning they are not qualified to be President), the true fact is that any slight endocrinologic differences
between men's and women's brains are dwarfed by the differences
between the brains of defective liberals and normal people.

Have we had many Presidents who were at the top levels of math and science?

Parents with kids of both sexes KNOW how absurd the idea of sameness is.

If you give girls GI Joe dolls they will play house with them. If you give boys Barbies they will engage them in battles to the death. That’s just the way it is and always has been.

Scientists have turned up some intriguing findings of anatomical differences between the sexes.

So have I. I've been "intrigued" by those differences since I was about 11 years old.

If you give boys Barbies they will engage them in battles to the death.

And, when sublimated, that's where mud wrestling comes from.

The SAT scores themselves are misleading as well. Though boys outnumber girls among top scorers, they also outnumber girls among the lowest scorers. The average score is nearly identical. And major new research finds that the gap at the top end is narrowing each year.

Men and women are the same, but women are better.

Egalitarianism now rules the field, just as dedication to male superiority once did.

Here’s a difference to discuss: Who is better in close combat when the fight is with hand grenades, fixed bayonets, and entrenching tools?
