Gov. Spitzer's sky-high popularity has fallen faster and further than that of any governor in modern state history due to his licensing illegals plan and the ongoing Dirty Tricks Scandal.... The Siena College Research Institute survey - conducted before Spitzer said he's scrapping the plan - found New Yorkers, by an overwhelming 64 to 33% disapprove of the job he's doing......and by 70-25%, voters said they were against Spitzer's licensing illegals. "Spitzer's standing with voters has fallen faster and further than any politician in recent NY history," said a Siena spokesman.

We in New York had ample evidence that Spitzer would be a disaster based on his performance as state Attorney General, but we blindly elected him anyway. Worse, the NYT Post endorsed him (as well as Hillary and Chuckie). It will be a fitting irony if our haughty bastard governor causes Hillary to lose New York.

During Spitler's 1998 AG campaign, he indignantly denied allegations by his GOP opponent, Dennis Vacco (a top-notch pro-life conservative), that Spitler's wealthy father had provided millions in loans to his AG campaign.

Candidate Spitzer insisted he was using only his own money (family members are limited by law to $110,000 in total contributions) and accused Vacco of "smearing" his father.

Not until he'd actually taken office did Spitzer admit that Dennis Vacco had been correct, after all. In fact, it turned out Spitzer, despite earlier denials, had done the exact same thing during his unsuccessful 1994 run for AG.

NOTE WELL: Now how did the loving Spitzer family convert all that money to sonny's election? The altruistic Spitzer family runs a "do-good foundation."

Good information. I won't hold my breath waiting for the FEC to exact a whopping fine or invalidate Spitzer's election.

Given the FEC's sorry record on timely enforcement and their unfair administration of justice, all campaign finance laws should be scrapped in favor of full contemporaneous disclosure.

Spitzer's nitwit plot to facilitate vote-fraud flopped bigtime. The bozo governor managed to annihilate his own political ambitions and to take down other politician[s] with him... Hillary Clinton went against the wishes of enormous grassroots opposition when she flubbed her debate answer to a nitwit plan by Gov Spitzer to license illegals. Hillary then sought to "clarify" her position by inexplicably endorsing the sure-fail Spitzer licensng plan.
