This man hacked his own mother to death. What could have been going on in this judge’s mind?

Yup . . . the judge who set the perp free on personal recognizance was a Romney appointee and a registered Democrat. B..Bu...But.. Mitt was listening to scientists explain cloning and it was at that moment that he underwent a complete political conversion.

More on the judge:
STATE HOUSE, BOSTON, MAY 3, 2006
Some members of the Governor's Council continued to complain Wednesday that Gov. Mitt Romney is placing too many prosecutors on the bench, but they appear poised to approve one of them, Superior Court nominee Kathe Tuttman. A 17-year veteran of the Essex County district attorney's office, Tuttman currently heads the Family Crimes and Sexual Assault Unit there. The 54-year-old Andover resident acknowledged her shortcomings during Wednesday's hearing.
"I haven't had civil litigation experience," but as president of her synagogue, Tuttman said, she has been involved in negotiating several contracts and in rewriting the congregation's bylaws.
While Tuttman herself was not challenged by councilors about her prosecutorial background, such questions were directed to those who came to endorse her candidacy.
Councilor Christopher Iannella, one of the four lawyers who sit on the eight-member council, has been a constant critic of the administration's propensity to appoint judges who have spent most of their careers as federal or state prosecutors.
"I personally think we have too many," Iannella said, speculating that three out of every four Romney nominees have such backgrounds.

And you can bet your sweet bippy that the judge in his up and coming murder trial will not allow his prior conviction to be used as evidence...

What the devil was she doing on something like that?

That would be a great thing to do. But I am afraid that Judge Kathe M. Tuttman, the lenient judge, being a good liberal has no conscience and would sleep just as soundly, with no remorse.

“Im sorry, Im not able to comment on this” is typical lawyerly response. She can’t even say she’s sorry for what happened because that might be taken as an indication of guilt or error on her part. I looked for her email address, but interestingly, her judicial profile at www.mass.gov has been almost completely blanked out.

When Republicans have to console themselves that they didn't lose this election or that election by too big a margin, it shows how whipped the party is there.

So that is a good reason not to try...
I hope his dedication at a national level is stronger than that...
I fear it won’t be, but I am sure you feel like it is worth the risk...

When a judge decides to release these types from prison, they should be required to live in that judge’s neighborhhod.

Tracy L. Lyons, whom Romney appointed at the same time as Tuttman, as associate justice of the Brighton division of the Boston Municipal Court, was (or is) a registered Republican. I believe she was approved.
To: Hemingway's Ghost
Well, until this I thought that Romney had the inside track to win the nomination. It looks like Rudy and Huckabee will benefit and become stronger bets. The irony is that Rudy's judicial appointments are more liberal than Romney's. I'm unsure of Huckabees appointments but I guess it's time to research that.
A shame Hunter can't gain any traction at all and Fred has no fire in his belly.
