After spending the day facing accusations it stacked the deck against the Republican presidential contenders by having Democratic backers ask video questions during its debate, CNN on Thursday responded that it doesn't know what the fuss is all about.
The cable news network, in collaboration with video Web site YouTube, hosted the Wednesday night debate that had more than 30 voters pose questions to the Republican candidates. It later turned out that several of those questioners are actively supporting Democratic candidates.
"The whole point of these ground-breaking CNN/YouTube debates is to focus on substantive questions of concern to real people and to throw open the process to a wider range of Americans all around the country. CNN cared about what you asked, not who you were. This was the case for both the Democratic and the Republican CNN/YouTube debates," CNN said in a statement issued late in the day.

The entire thing was farce, another smear on CNN and the hilary campaign. CNN looked so bad, the only way it could have looked worse for CNN is if they had a few of the Portland or Seattle America hating anti-war protesters show up as ‘concerned undecided voters’

Horse Hockey! As Rush pointed out weeks ago this was a predictable as the sun coming up tomorrow. CNN selected questions that resonated with their own political bias. Such questions were sure to come from Democrat operatives and plants.

Don't you understand that not only are Democrats entitled to decide what issues are legitimate and relevant to Democrats, they alone are also entitled to decide which issues are considered substantive and legitimate to Republicans, too? The point is that CNN lied about who the people were. CNN misrepresented the questioners in both of their debates as undecided voters of the respective parties. The questioners were all Democrats, except Nordquist. The Democrats even got to pick their own questioners and make up the questions for their own debate.
CNN put on a political version of the Jerry Springer show for the Republican debate. They put on a dog and pony show for the Democrat debate. I fully expected Wolf Blitzer to have the Democrats get up and walk around the ring and examine their teeth, in the Democrat debate.
If CNN could invent some sort of machine that would pump fresh human excrement into the living rooms of every Republican viewer, leaving Democrat viewers unscathed, they wouldn’t hesitate to throw the switch.
Matter of fact, that’s kind of what they do anyway, if you think about it.
The basic question was, As a Racist, Sexist, Homophobe, Bible Thumping, Trogladyte, why don’t you hate Republicans?? That would get you on TV.

CNN doesn’t even have the decency to apologize. Every Republican shoud refuse to appear on that garbage channel until serious changes are made.
FNC wants Rudy, CNN wants Hillary, and MSNBC is a joke. I think this is hurting both Rudy and Hillary. Primary voters will rightfully get increasingly annoyed by pundits telling them that they are either irrelevant or are so simple that the talking heads can easily predict what they will do. Primary voters will not vote for Hillary or Rudy just so they can prove the pundits wrong.
Sure and they’d let Republicans ask questions of the Democrats and then give a conservative activist member of the leading Republican campaign not only to ask a question but talk longer than the candidates did after they’ve responded. I’ll believe it when I see it happen. It’s more likely that they’d have a Hillary Clinton staffer ask a question of the other Democratic candidates than allowing any Republican ask the Democrats a question.
Great suggestion. Let Ann and Rush be the moderators. Fat chance the Dems would ever allow it.

I think its ok to have left-wing socialist ask questions of republicans, and its ok for CNN to plant a people to ask questions considered to be “tough” by leftist; it actually help sort out the republican who deal with it best. Selectively planting questioners is unprincipled, but CNN is who they are.
Nearly half of America will vote for a democrat, no matter who she/he/or it is. And the other half will vote for a republican. A few in the middle is the target. They will make the difference. The real challenge is to cause more voters to consider conservatism to be the better choice.
