COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — At least four people were shot outside of a Colorado Springs church on Sunday, but it was not immediately known whether the shootings were related to an earlier shooting about 70 miles away, authorities said.
You did read this part of the PI, right?

I have met Christian Arabs who emigrated here from the Palestinian territories (near Bethlehem, in this case).
It's sad that the deteriorating situation in those areas have forced them to leave ancestral homes they've been in for centuries.
But there's a very positive flipside to this sadness, at least where America is concerned. Because some unknown number of these Arab Christians have ended up in the US. And being fluent in Arabic all their lives, and having not the slightest shred of love for radical Islam, and wanting to do their patriotic duty for their new adopted homeland, they have readily consented to being recruited into a large variety of government agencies who have found that they have a desperate need for fluent Arabic interpreters since September 2001 (for some strange reason).

How sad is that? Good christian father, a doctor, a good man by all we can see. What makes these kids go off like that? My heart goes out to the family members who will suffer this for the rest of their lives. They will never be the same, just like the victims’ families. I pray their faith sustains all of them in this terribly difficult time.

You know, I’ve thought about that, and I’ve come to the conclusion, the “strange ways” is lots more than sometimes.

Agreed. I think it’s wandered over some line.
First, let me say Bless You, as you have had to deal with much pain.
I came from a emotionally abusive family, as did my younger brother. I have not done as well as I would like, but have managed to do better than I thought I could. My brother has never recovered. He never will. He does not hurt others (other than me, as I try to clean up the messes he makes), but he is destroying himself.
You ask how two kids from the same family can take from it two totally different views of how to live. Different people, I guess.
