I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!
It’s easier to call the race for the Republicans.
They do not have to meet a 15% threshold.
The Dems have to get 15% or caucus for another candidate.

As I see it, Huck won in the rural areas that have already reported, but the bigger numbers have yet to come in....am I right?

McCain benefits from good press, he just said a few months ago that they are his base, and are 99% fair in their reporting.
Obviously he would govern for the NY press in the WH.
I agree with good times coinciding with ‘likability’ having a greater influence. But these are serious times (we’re at war) and we cannot have a candidate so naive on foreign policy (Gitmo, Bhutto, NIE, etc. - Secretary Rice took him to task on all of this). The terrorists are watching.

That being said. I’m no Huckabee supporter. I’m a Fred guy. But whoever our nominee is, we had better damn well have an SOB like Rollins on board, if we want to beat the DemonRats.

As the matter of fact, I’m having a pleasant conversation with (at least) two Thompson supporters on this thread. But the haters don’t understand when Republicans get along with each other; they are here to divide us.
