Let’s see . . . 8pm Central is 10pm Pacific? Yes, because Mountain time is in between. Okay. Thanks, and thanks for the thread. GO FRED!

Predicting...

1 Edwards
2 Clinton (who will claim irregularities and demand recount)
3 Obama

1 Romney
2 Huckabee
3 McCain

This gives me no joy. Could be wrong. Hope so!

The investment many here have made in their sense of conservative purity diminishes their ability to impact sufficient numbers of people to achieve what they believe important.

To continue in that state, one has to conclude they have more interest in contemplating their navel than finding ways forward for our families, communities, and nation.

Welcome to the FR zoo.

OK, perhaps I exaggerate a bit.

However, describing Huck as a “conservative” in the traditional definition is inaccurate. He’s a socially conservative populist, or perhaps a religious humanist.

It’s not a slam, just an observation. And since I’m a conservative, I can’t support him, at least in the primary.

I understood it that Rush thinks so, too.

That’s discouraging, because if there is a way to cheat, then the Beast will probably do better than some are suggesting. These people only care about winning and nothing else. If she can cheat she will, while maybe others will not.

I was hoping cheating would be very difficult. I’m convinced that’s the only way this odious cow could win.

“Whereas, I see Huckabee’s misguided populism as much less evil than Giulianies support of Abortion and Homosexuality.”

I don’t. People who have morals will make the right decisions with respect to abortion and homosexuality. Government will NEVER be able to force morality on the people.

On the other hand, I believe that Huckabee is seriously misguided as it relates to protecting America, as evidenced by his lack of knowledge about what is happening in the Middle East and his support for illegal immigration (even if it relates to children of illegals). That’s where I see Huckabee as a much bigger threat than Giuliani because our national security in the hands of someone who is incompetent has much more impact on the people.

I probably joined after the first round of that was over. But I am also concerned about illegal immigration and see Huckabee as very weak on this issue - I just am not sure that his previous speaches were worse than Giuliani’s sanctuary city. So, I understand people not liking Huckabee but it seems that we should view him as not quite as much of an anathama as Giuliani.

Believe me, I’d be thrilled with Duncan. He just has no traction. He’d be a great veep or Secretary of the Navy, though.

9/11 is the difference between the level of Rudy-hate and the level of Huck-a-hate. You can’t take away what Rudy did in the hours, days, and weeks after the towers fell.

What has Huckabee done that even comes close?

Also one of many reasons you didn’t see much if not at all of the Huckesters sons, they are unnaturally obese and one of his sons in ‘98 strung up and killed a German Shep. dog and this past April was arrested for taking a loaded gun on a plane

Yes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Huckabee is evil and so is his dog torturing son.

Huckabee is not only for Amnesty for illegals but also he is for chain Amnesty .

Huckabee will give Amnesty to 30 million illegals and then allow those 30 million to bring to the U.S. 100 million of their relatives . That would turn America into a 3rd world socialist hell hole. Who cares if this Huckster says he is a Christian and says he is pro-life when he will destroy America and what’s left of the Republican party?

Mike Huckabee. The Socialist From Arakansas.

If by any chance the PIAPS has a real bad night, if someone can get a mic near her when she doesn’t know it - there will be a litany of F-bombs and cursing like only a drunk sailor could imagine.

Get that on tape and she’s toast !!!

Fred will probably be third over McCain. The media is buzzing about McCain but I don’t see many or any Iowans buzzing about him. His campaign here is weak to say the least.

Obama will win the Dems I predict. He has the Mo for sure. We will see if his organization turns out the faithful.

I don’t like Huckabee because he’s going to raise my taxes, and use the money to provide scholarships for illegal immigrants.

So you're saying he's lying when he signed the "no tax pledge", and his plan to finish the border wall and deport all illegals is another lie? I'm sure you're not a Romney fan or a Fred Thompson fan then because they have records of being soft on illegal immigration. Who is the only one left who actually has a record of handling the illegal immigration problem? Duncan Hunter. Everyone else flip-flopped on the issue for campaigning purposes.
