“Letting criminals out of jail is not a conservative position.”

Believing in the redemption (reclaimation) of people is consistent with conservative evangelical Christianity. Will a person be fooled at times....yes.

The Bible is big on people having to face the consequences of their actions.

Huckabee has NO RIGHT to run around releasing criminals to make himself feel good, all the while endangering the public.

You’re (intentionally) confusing spiritual redemption with liberal, judicial (attempted) reclamation.

They can be a “Christian” in jail.

Christ said “today you will be with me in paradise” not to the theif who tried to use him to get out of the sentence, but to the other.

Paul and Silas did not escape from prison after the earthquake. They remained and became a witness to the jailor.

Redemption and forgiveness does not mean punishment is suspended.
