The amazing thing is that he’s been elected to Congress five times so far.

Talked to my Dad: he just got back from voting in the NH primary and voted for the crackpot. My Dad’s a pretty rational guy, but despite my efforts to sway him from this path, he still won’t listen to reason on the subject. He thinks Paul is “very honest and refreshing.”

You Run Paul, Run Paul's friend Dennis Kucinich, and a couple of other morons can smoke pot all day long, but the world know you’re just wimps.

How did the GOP disavow David Duke? I don’t remember.
How would a three-way race with a third party Paul running against a black Democrat and a yet unpicked Republican work?

Black males age 13 that have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary, and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such. What is untrue about this statement?

I agree with several of his statements. I am sure that many people on FR do.
Yes they do....or we have a bunch of Freepers gone liberal.
Some of his comments are spot on...while some (esp regarding Israel) are tinfoil hat.
A lot of his comments may not be politically correct...but definitely not racist. And, many what a lot of Freepers deep down agree with

I do not support Ron Paul.
These remarks, taken out of context and many of them accurate, constitutes a hit piece.

Ron Paul has been sending me his newsletter for years. I have always wondered why a Libertarian wanted to be elected by republicans.

It would help to have more context on these quotes. A lot of the claims that were made in the article were very disturbing but they did not seem to backed up by the actual Ron Paul quotes which except for two or three were not all that controversial.

[Hillary Clinton] is one of the most dangerous women in public life. Not only is she a fanatical abortion advocate, she wants parents to register with the government as a condition for having children to be able to sue and `divorce themselves from their parents. Maybe her daughter ought to sue her parents for attempting to raise her as a leftist. That sure qualifies as abuse to me.
Sounds right to me on this one as well...

Oh Good. Now we can engage in leftist smear campaigns against Evil White Racist Right Wing Christian Homophobes Who Hate the Sacrament of Abortion on FR.
How refreshing.
To: seanmerc
A lot of those quotes are not racist. A lot are.

What about white males age 13? Black females? etc.
I think that is the main problem with the statement.
He should have said “kids age 13”.

It looks like fascists burn crosses and Paul would be the one providing the matches.
I've debated white supremacists and can attest to the fact they Paul is one of their heroes.

That’s probably true.
Paul’s defense has been that he didn’t actually write them.
A defense that isn’t going to work now that attention is being paid, imo.

Yes, Ron Paul is a persuasive guy, who says about 90% correct stuff.
That’s the Devil’s oldest trick, BTW -— adding just a bit to the truth to twist it. Did it in the Garden of Eden. 90% of the truth SOUNDs so goood . . . .
(No, I am not saying Ron Paul is the Devil, just using his trick.)
