Ron Paul, Featuring Special Guests "The Jew Haters"
Radar Magazine ^ | 1/18/08 | Nick Curran

Posted on 01/19/2008 7:54:17 AM PST by Mr. Silverback

In the stuffy world of politics, the Ron Paul campaign has earned the reputation of being something like a raucous, freedom-loving party. A raucous, freedom-loving party with lots of paranoid bigots. So it would probably be more surprising if the band reportedly headlining RonPaulapalooza didn't have a few teeny-tiny problems with the Jews, who they feel are trying to destroy everybody. The band Poker Face enjoys churning out a hard-chargin' "freedom rock" that they developed under the influence of Boston, the Beatles, and Frank Zappa, as well as a firm conviction that the Holocaust did not happen and that the Jews are in fact the lead agents of a "Satanic World Order."

And according to a notice sent out by RonPaulaplooza organizers, you can get yourself a taste when Poker Face (along with some "lesser-known bands") rocks the big event, now tentatively scheduled for the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Morehead, Kentucky. As of post time, organizers had not responded to Radar's anxious inquiries about the possible co-appearance of a sassy little slice of pizza known to sling some fairly dope rhymes about the Ron Paul revolution.

Bush took the endorsement or at least met with Log Cabin Republicans. Bush is GAY!!!!!!

1. Show me anyplace I have said that the Nazis liking Paul means he's a Nazi. I'll wait. [Jeopardy theme begins playing]

2. The Log Cabin Republicans endorsing Bush only means they regarded him as the best GOP candidate. Now, imagine what you would have concluded about Bush in 2000 if virtually every gay person in the country, including people who usually only vote Democrat and disagree with him on issue after issue, decided that Bush was their guy, and the only one running in either party who could get their wishes accomplished.

Perhaps I should have written, "Will they open with a cover of 'Springtime for Hitler?'"

Sorry.

“That’s like saying that liking the color blue means you work for GM, because they make blue trucks.”

Take your own advice, and apply liberally.

Could you give me a link to something showing they wanted Jane’s Addiction? I saw the reference to Jane’s Addiction on Radar, but I figured it was sarcasm.

I can't help you there. I took the links in your post as legit and followed up with a search about the band. If Radar was lying, it's not my responsibility.

Looking at some of their headlines, it does look like they are trying to be "satirical" with headlines like "Britain's Lady Cops Dressing Like Simon Cowell," "Deborah Gibson Embraces Her Has-Been Status" and "Lindsay Lohan Reports to the Morgue," but you could have put some kind of "satire warning" on this.

“If you throw a rock at a pack of dogs, the one who gets hit will yelp. The more I see pathetic slime-balls like this try to drag Ron Paul down with mud and unsubstantiated paranoid delusions, the more I’m starting to like him.”

That’s what happened to me.

And a lot of other FReepers.

8% according to a recent member poll.

Paul just took 2nd in Nevada! Fred was 4th.

Who is the 1%er now?

You apparently do not realize that Dr. Paul believes that freedom is for everyone, regardless of what they believe in.

That's not the issue. I too believe in freedom for everyone regardless of what they believe in, but if there was a group of Nazis in town endorsing me as a great human being and fantastic candidate, I wouldn't just sit there and grin about it.

Right and YOU refuse to give Ron Paul the same courtesy. Bush never even condemed the LCR’s he took their money. And I nor Ron Paul supporter can help it if a FEW fringe whom Ron Paul doesn’t even agree with support him. BTW I am not racist by any means as I have voted for the only black man the GOP to seriously run for POTUS. He ran then was promptly was shut out of the convention like he had the plauge. His sin? Being a Conservative. But YOU want a double standard applied. One for your guys one for those running against your guys. Nice try though.

I think you're painting with a broad brush if you're saying that all Paul supporters are racist biggots.

I never have said that, or believed it.

I would think the real Paulists would demand that Paul clean house and stop playing Mickey the Dunce on the issue.

Yep...but apparently they think that telling a Nazi to step off is a violation of the Constitution or something.

"Paul just took 2nd in Nevada!"

Don't pin your hopes on that. This state is being overrun by crackpots and liberals from California.

See post 100 for an example, BTW. Telling Nazis to get bent is a violation of their freedoms.

Wouldn’t they be registered Democrat?

And voting in the Dem election?

And yet, they keep on coming. Sort of like how Huck deplores the push-poll lies on his behalf in SC the last few days.

"Telling Nazis to get bent is a violation of their freedoms."

A nasty little detail ignored by some.

[That 'monster' was busy delivering babies]

Yes, that's true and good for him if he's a good OB. I hope he goes back to it. However, this is not a mere lack of diligence or distraction. This is a guy saying, "I'll put something out with my name on it for years at a time and not check on it." That is collossally inept. That makes JFK getting his boat cut in half by a destroyer look like Washington at Yorktown.

So, you think JFK getting his PT boat cut in two in the blackness of the Pacfic ocean ineptness?

Ron Paul is a competent, principled individual.

He would be so as President.

American voters see the large proportion of offensive and wacko people enthusiastically promoting a candidate

American voters are also getting more of their information from the Internet, where such information is disseminated. They see these people flocking to Paul, and then they can easily review Paul's record and his speeches. They can compare and contrast Paul's record and statements with the kooks, and make their own decisions.

They see that candidate’s signs along with the anti-war, anti-Bush and anti-American signs in protests.

None of these people have been in attendance at Paul's campaign rallies or in rallies conducted by Meetup groups. I'm telling you. The hardcore, anti-war left and 9/11 Truthers are NOT supporting Paul. They are supporting Kucinich, Gravel, and to an extent Obama, because their style of anti-war is completely different from what Paul is advocating. Paul does not believe that our troops should be humanitarian relief workers in Africa or freeing Tibet; the anti-war left does. They support war and interventionism, but only if its for liberal pet causes like promoting "peace" and envirowackoism.

Paul’s views have attracted the offensive fringe.

And please define "offensive." Ordinary Americans who never gave a crap about politics before are now out there supporting Paul fervently, and they're dismissed as "kooks?" For years, the media and conservatives here complained about the sheeple staying home, but now Paul comes on the scene and awakens them, they should be dismissed as "fringe" then? What type of illogical bullfeces is this?

Could you elaboraate? Are you saying the guys in Poker face are faking a liking for Ron Paul, or that Radar is lying?
