Where does a Conservative go?(Vanity)
My feckless brain ^ | Me

Posted on 01/20/2008 1:18:25 AM PST by TexasMatty

As a Conservative I am lost. I will not, under any circumstances vote for John Mclame. He has sold Conservatives out. Nor will I vote for Jesus' favorite candidate Schmuckabee. I believe the most Conservative candidate is Thompson and can't help but wonder who is voting in these things. If Mclame or Schmuckabee is the nominee I can't vote. It will pain me deeply to not vote, but either of those clowns are no different from the lefty. Me question to my FRiends is.. WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO??? The situation seems rather desperate.

I support FRed, but will vote for the Republican nominee. Al least it'll be a chance to stop the SCOTUS from going left for the next few decades!

As long as Fred is in the race, keep voting for Fred.

How many votes do you get?

“Just spend your time focusing on your local congressional races, so we at least have a chance at a conservative House.”

We no longer have the time to use that strategy without catastrophic results. The world situation is way too volatile and requires the best foreign policy experience we have.

Why do we as Conservatives have to settle?

Because you are 15-20% of the Republican electorate and divided among yourselves, which is not a position from which you get to call the shots.

The "nominate my guy or I'll shoot this dog" strategy has gotten you nowhere, and is p*ssing all the other Republicans off.

That's why you have to settle.

You could still vote third [political group] on principle.

Which is equivalent to throwing your vote in the trash.

I’m looking at land in Alaska.

“The United States of America” is over.
The day that amnesty passes into law, I agree 100%.

Game over. - Checkmate.

I hear you Matty, and I absolutely agree. I too feel a sense of being lost.

How on earth can conservatives allow the media to sway them into voting for McCain? How does this happen?

The media’s R candidate is McCain, and their runner up has been Huck. Neither one would get my vote.

I’ll most likely write in in november, but I’m so pissed off about south carolina/McCain right now that if the election were held right now I’d absolutely vote hillary or obama.

If someone is going to destroy this country with liberal policies such as amnesty and global warming insanity, I do not want it to be someone that the media are going to paint as a conservative.

I think there’s a strong reason to vote AGAINST McCain to see that this simply does not happen.

The liberal media lost their monopoly a long time ago, but they are making it clear that they still hold tremendous power.

WHY DO REPUBLICANS ALLOW INDEPENDENTS TO INFLUENCE THE SELECTION OF THEIR NOMINEE?

Because they agree with them.

WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO???

Of the top three candidates, only one is fine with Rush. Limbaugh has stated that McCain or the Huckster would be disasters for the Republicans. Do I need to draw you a roadmap? I think you can figure out the answer for yourself.

About the same here. Romney is a strange bird to me. Taken at face value, I don’t think anything about him one way or the other. I don’t feel distaste, nor am I interested. Do I thing he would be a bad President? No. Do I think of him as a leader? No. He’s not dull but neither is he exciting as a candidate. He reminds me of the guy who becomes president of a club because no one else wants the job.

The more I see of Huckabee, the less I like him.

I’m with you!

4 years of carter got us 8 years of reagan. I’m willing to take that risk again.

I’d be willing to hold the nose for Mitt. But absolutely not for McCain or Huck.

Hillary is at the top of the ticket...we have to defeat the commie moles. I’m learning by watching their debates that there is a difference between American liberals and hardcore commies in their party. The media is scr@wing the Dem party as well in favor of Hillary.

Are you aware of what this all means before you vote Dem?

The main problem is that the majority of the nation is far from conservative and we lack an articulate, charismatic spokesman.

Moreover, the GOP had six years to demonstrate to the world the effectiveness of conservative governance. Instead they enacted huge entitlement programs, increased spending, and generally governed like liberals. They blew their chance, and it may never come again.

What the hell has happened to the Reagan coalition. I feel like I am in the Twilight zone.

I think you will be very PLEASANTLY surprised how at good Romney will turn out. Borrow a cigarette from Rod Serling and relax.

Move out to rural parts and buy some fertile land. The grand experiment called "The United States of America" is over.

What time do they serve dinner at the Chicken Little Ranch?

The Constitution party is freaked on Jesus, The Libertarians all smoke dope, so where do I go?

Find a party that serves up Prime Rib buffet. Me? I can find that at the Hollywood Seminole Casino so I'm sticking with the GOP (and Mitt).

I feel like yelling with you.

Why haven’t every single one of the primaries been closed off to prevent the independents? They made it extremely clear that they don’t want to be a part of the political process, so let them do just that. Stay out of the political process!
