Why are these threads started so early? At least you’re not hours early, but some are soooooooo early, it’s hard to find them by the time the even finally starts.

Should be good. Ron Paul’s comments should provide adequate time for beer breaks.

Still cannot believe we are down to Mac & Mitt this quick. I’ll still vote or write in for Fred when the Texas primary rolls around, but I never felt so out of it so soon.

My prediction is that Romney grabs McCain and does a pile-driver move, McCain does a figure-four leg-lock on Romney and Ron Paul will grab a steel chair and try to knock them over the head. Opps...my bad...pro wrestling was last night.

Seriously though, will Nancy Reagan be in the crowd.

How long before McCain launches into, “My friends...” ?

Romney has to walk a fine line. On one hand, he needs to highlight McCain’s positions. On the other, Romney must inspire prospective voters.

It will be interesting to see if Huck sets his sights solely on Romney tonight.

I think I’ll watch, just hoping that the McCaniac shows his true self.

I know the Huckster won’t attack McCain. I’m hoping Mitt will press McCain on the amnesty issue and remind everyone the politics of Hernandez who is working for McCain.

Is this a Republican debate? or a Democrat-lite debate?

McCain will be creamed with his comment about not understanding how the economy works as much as he should. Pretty dumb of him to say that.

Allan Colmes was defending McCain a few days ago. It was some comment McCain said about Putin being the leader of Germany. Colmes and the other dem on the panel were very forgiving, said anyone can make mistakes. Funny, I never heard that from the dems when the president would make a faux pas.

As I watched Guiliani endorse McQueeg at the Reagan Library, of all places, I was struck by the absolute desecration of such a sacred conservative venue as The Gipper’s own Library in hosting an event where a Democrat, Rudy, endorses a faux Republican, as the Republican nominee for President.

If God would allow him to, Reagan would have struck the place with a bolt of lightning.

I have prayed that McQueeg loses his cool in the debate tonight, so we can see the real maverick in action. I did not start out a Romney fan, but I have never trusted McCain.

I’m pulling for Romney now. I’d rather have a recent conservative convert than a lying, amnesty loving, free speech loving, Gang of 14 globaloneyist loving SwiftBoat Vets hating creep as President.

Have the media declared McCain the winner of tonight's debate yet? I'm sure they've already got the stories written and ready to run, and the punsters have already decided how they are going to spin it, no matter who says what tonight.

Sorry for the cynicism, but I'm afraid that's the reality of how this is going to be reported, unless McCain absolutely strikes out on every question. Hopefully, Romney will pin him down again and again and pound away (with a smile, of course).
