How Many Freepers Will Leave The GOP?
Man50D

Posted on 02/07/2008 10:39:44 AM PST by Man50D

Romney has now bowed out of the race leaving only McCain, Paul and Huckabee. It's impossible the latter two have any chance of garnering enough delegates to win the nomination. That leaves McCain. He has slapped Conservatives in the face more than enough times by siding with Socialist Democrats on issues. It's clear McCain will take the GOP farther to the left. The question now becomes how many of you have had enough of the GOP abandoning Conservatism and will in turn leave the GOP?

I am leaving the day McQueeg clinches the nomination, and all hope for a conservative nominee is gone.

I was never a Republican, so for me the question is meaningless.

Nothing would make McCain happier than for conservatives to leave the GOP. No. I plan on sticking around and making life miserable for the fifth column - the way they did when we were in charge.

Not unless something better comes along. This is one battle in a long war.

What party will everyone join if we leave the GOP? Constitution Party? Form a new party?

I resigned from the GOP after the Dole debacle in 1996.
Still took years to get off the mailing lists.

Sorry I can’t sell out the military just to prove a political point. I will take my chances with McCain over Hillary.

I support Huckabee right now. If Romney endorses Huckabee and campaigns with him, they can energize a conservative resurgence.

The day McCain gets the nomination,
I am gone. I will vote Third Party CONSERVATIVE.

As long as he is on the ballot, I will support Ron Paul!

Can’t speak for anybody except me and my hubby. We’ve been hanging in until the PA primary. No reason now. One of us will hit the Court House tomorrow and bring the other home a card to change parties. Still arguing over who does the legwork.

I will suspend my membership/affiliation to the Republican party. I wonder if the Shuckster will bow out now. That will be telling of the reasons why he has stayed in up to now. Even though we know, the Shuckster supporters fail to see why he has stayed in up to this point.
