Sorry, I couldn't find a news source for this. The media would love to keep this quiet.
The House passed the bill in September, and the Senate passed it today. Soak the US taxpayers again to fund global liberal feel good crap. Obama wrote the bill. This is only the tip of the iceberg should he win the White House.
BOHICA!

At direct odds to this is any initiative to reduce "greenhouse gas" emissions.
"Greenhouse gases" = prosperity.

The ideals are good but the apparatus sucks. Poverty makes for good terrorist recruiting and also support for dictators. However, whacking the tax payers of the US when we are the ones raising the world’s standard of living already is BS!!!

I’ve been watching the Senate all morning. I have not seen this bill come up for a vote.

I surely expect the master of the Senate McCain to pull the rug out from under this ‘earmark’ legislation.

Latest Major Action: 2/13/2008 Senate committee/subcommittee actions. Status: Committee on Foreign Relations. Ordered to be reported with amendments favorably.
IOW, it left committee on 2/13/08. No floor vote yet.
Did you do any research on the status of the bill before you hit the panic button?

the United Nations Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide who live on less than $1 per day.Oh, well, let's feed them and put them on a government-funded allowance. Once they're no longer hungry, they'll have children and instead of a million people living on a dollar a day, we'll have five million living on two dollars a day. And it won't even cost $10 million a day. Because it's routed through the super-efficient government bureaucracy, it'll be $100,000,000 a day! But that's a small price to pay for that little glow of self-satisfaction that warms a liberal heart at the thought of taking $100 million from people they don't like in order to give $10 million to people they enjoy pitying from a safe distance but whom they wouldn't want in the house.

Cool! This means we will topple dicators and authoritarian governments world wide that are the leading cause of poverty. Right?

cover-up by no coverage by our media
the games our congress plays (it isn't baseball)
makes me wonder how much money was given to our congress
to formulate another tax on the working people of this nation.
Where the money goes, once in the hands of congress
with this new tax, is anyone's guess.
Thank God, our congress is on the American working family's side.
At least that is what these demonrats and rinos tell us!
I guess, I should type, thanks for the lies, congress.
