Under all the glitzy GUI, OS X presents a API for Unix programmers that is a very good parallel to BSD API’s.
Porting over a lot of the FSF/open-source stuff that runs on BSD is not difficult at all. The vast majority of the GNU tools are right there, right now.

Now you're scaring me. With this post and the one about all of "the 20-somethings getting turgid over an operating system" I expect something really scary.
