What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback and let me tell you something, For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I have seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues. It has made me proud."
Can we please get back the our regularly scheduled realities?
And a Republican has been in the White House for the last seven years. Coincidence, Michelle? Better get that looked at...
the ~~ “to.” man I’m sick of that, too.
It is disgusting that someone like her,,,,in a country as great as ours....can make a demeaning comment like that about our country.
She is a total embarrassment to our ENTIRE COUNTRY for making such a bogus, anti-American, insulting statement about the greatest country on earth (but then again, that makes her no different than her husband)!!!
Well, if she is 45, that would mean she hasn’t been a proud American since roughly 1980. Reagan was elected that year. The only Dem president since has been Clinton, and she certain won’t say she was proud during those years.
Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she may have meant that she hasn’t been proud of the country’s leadership. But it certainly sounds bad the way she said it.
The first time in her life she is proud of her country? We don’t need the Obamas to tell us whether they are proud of us or not.
That this isn’t treated as a gaff says a lot about the state of the nation.
That is exactly the way I feel about it. If they make it to the White House it will be the saddest day in the history of the United States.
I am writing Ms. Obama in instead of voting for McCain, because he isn’t a true conservative.
Ok, so she’s been an adult for how many years???? This is the first time she’s been proud,,,,,I wouldn’t broadcast that Ms. Obama,,,,I’d be ashamed to admit something like that.....are you an American through and through or just on the surface............
Excellent.
Keep it coming, Michelle.
Prattle on all you want. We’re recording every inane word.
Anti-American and insulting comments like THAT,,,
is what makes them democrats.
I was in shock. But what Michele Obama says here is that same mind set; and it is sad. We have lost a large part of a generation.
What a stupid woman!
How embarrassing for her parents.
She makes me want to vomit.
God have mercy on us if this couple gets into the White House.
Save your criticism of this moron for the general. The most important thing we can do at this point is still to get rid of the Clintons.
Obamma and obamma moma will be easy to throw under the bus when the time comes with stupid unAmerican statements like this one.
“This woman and this couple is dangerous! about as scary to me as the Clintons. The media will look past all their transgressions. Then of course, we have the wonderful John McCain to look forward to, even if we happen to win”
McCain may not be all that I wish for in a president, but to the best of knowledge, he’s never said anything this stupid.
I wonder what will need to happen for her to continue to feel proud now?
I am sincerely glad she is proud of her country. We need a lot more of that in the USA.
Prediction - the campaign PR folks won’t let her out to speak to reporters again until the Convention is over.
If ya thought Hillary was a shrew as First Lady, just watch what happens if Obama gets elected and Michele gets into the White House. She makes Hillary look almost lovable.
Nothing wrong with being proud of your country but I wonder how she would feel if her hubby faced a conservative candidate and a chance of losing.
She's playing to their base......and they love it.
I’d be proud of my country too —
if I were the leading nominee for president.
Otherwise, this place sucks, and I have to mingle with the masses.
"The solutions to the world's problems lie behind the Iron Curtain," stressed Ernesto Che" Guevara
who often signed his correspondence with the moniker "Stalin II".
"If the nuclear missiles had remained we would have fired them against the heart of the U.S.
including New York City," he boasted. "The victory of socialism is well worth millions of atomic victims."

Great points in your post.
I was just thinking barf alert
What a POS!
Utterly sickening.
Proof where their hearts are!
A glimpse of who this woman (and the people like her) really are.
Childish, self-centered, ungrateful, unpatriotic.
They all stand in judgement of American moral and social standards before the nineteen sixties filth movement set out to destroy America.
He covers his crotch instead of his heart. Amazing.
Yes she is,,,but what a SLAP-IN-THE-FACE to all that this country stands for!!!
So this is the first time in her life??? How outrageous.
Then why hasn't she (and her husband) left here for some OTHER country where she has taken some pride in her life????
“That comment (coming from a far-left liberal) is actually ‘right on the mark’—as it clearly shows what she—and all nut-case liberals—think about the United States.
Anti-American and insulting comments like THAT,,,
is what makes them democrats.”
I beg to differ. Living in Texas I personally know a lot of Dems who would never vote for Obama. With these comments floating around, I wouldn’t expect them to suddenly switch to his side now. Stupid over the top statement meant to piss off everybody who doesn’t worship her husband.
“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country”
Michelle, perhaps it’s time you started thinking about leaving the country you have been so ashamed of. Hell, I’ll pay for your one-way ticket.
She reminds me of Sister Patterson on I Love New York.
Why does she want to be First Lady of a country she’s always been ashamed of?
Obama Campaign: 866-675-2008, then hit 6 to speak to someone.
A most revealing comment..
Are you proud of My Countries “Constitution”,,?,,I doubt it,
What a ‘lovely first lady’ she will make!!! /s
This is so discusting!! This woman should be proud of her and our country every day she is alive to say so. The thing missing from all of those running in this election is how great it is to live in a country that a free election and all the crap that goes with it can happen!! Wake up Michelle, and smell the coffee!!

So she has been ASHAMED of the US up until now? The only thing I am ashamed of is that we haven’t gotten out of the UN and sent those tinpot dictators packing.
The big picture is even more sad. If they make it to the White House, it will actually be a victory over Hillary. The two choices are unthinkable.
And on the Republican side, all we have is McCain. Voting for McCain will be like...like...choosing to be shot instead of being thrown to the lions.
I'm starting to get interested in the Mayan calendar. 2012. Maybe something big will happen then. Maybe we'll have Jeb Bush against Chelsea Clinton.
Sometimes I feel like we are living in a TV sitcom, when I think about this election.
