I love Rush, but he urged the GOP faithful to vote against John McCain, and MCCain is never the less winning nomination.
It is no surprise this will be used to claim Rush is irrelevant. By the left, and even many on the right.

Jorge, Rush never “urged” us to vote for or against any candidate.

Well maybe the people who want to claim Rush is irrelevent should look at who nominated McCain. McCain won with Independents and “Moderates” he lost 2-1 over those who describled themselves as “Conservative” or Republican. So McCain won on non party member votes. The only reason he got the nod was the Conservative split there vote too many other ways thus letting a minority canidate like McCain win.

No, he has always encouraged everyone to vote as they please, but to make it an informed vote. Do not delude yourself to justify your vote, etc.

No. Get your facts right. Rush simply laid out the facts, as he sees them, concerning the Republican candidates and how their nomination would impact the general elections and the Republican Party as a whole. The fact that a McCain nomination has so many negatives isn’t Rush’s fault. The fact that Rush discusses the McCain negatives logically and intelligently is not an “attack” or some kind of bashing of McCain - it is what it is - the truth.
