Looks like he’s gonna do it.
Look for Eric England to announce his support for McClintock’s candidacy.

For those outside of California, this is a very good man. He is what the Founding Fathers envisionsed in doing the people’s business.

Yea, run Tom run!
Not only do we share the same first name, now we will share the same congressional district.
Print the flyers and gather the phone numbers. I'll be ready to donate and start working as soon as its official.

Not the best for Californiua but the smartest for the senator.
One of the few moves that the senator could make which doesn't require the blessing of or help from the CAGOP.
This man is an exception to the rule. It's a pity that the California GOP has consistently rejected his talents.
To: calif_reaganite
he should do Ok since the 4th district is sportsmans paradise california and not hippie land or mexico norte
------------------------------------------------
"California's 4th congressional district covers the northeastern corner of California along Route 395, covering El Dorado, Placer, Nevada, Sierra, Plumas, Lassen, and Modoc Counties, part of Butte County including Oroville, and a small portion of Sacramento County including Orangevale. The district is currently represented by Republican John Doolittle, who has represented the district since 1991. Republicans have 48 percent of voter registrations; Democrats have 30 percent and the Libertarians hold roughly 5 percent.

Go Tom!
The Republicans DESPERATELY need more RLC-aligned folks to steer the party away from big-government left-wing idiocy.

Trying to be a life long government employee with term limits has been tough.
I remember he cried when he didn’t win the Gov job, then claimed he got great press so the whole state got to know him. Then he bombed running for the LT. Gov. job.
I think he is has conservative values, but he does have a problem in the likability area.

Questions:
1. Summarize Doug Ose’s politics. Last snapshot I had of him is in the 2004 Almanac Of American Politics, which had Ose as an “80% conservative” or so, based on various ratings, as a 3-term House member for the 3d Distict. (Ose does not live in the 4th CD, but then, he doesn’t have to, legally.)
2. I see that Ose honored his pledge to serve only 3 terms in the House. Query whether his running in the 4th CD breaks that promise. (Granted, this is an unusual situation, because we have the incumbent, Doolittle, not-running-again due to scandal.)
3. Does McClintock live in the 4th CD? Again, legally one need not live in the CD to represent it, so long as one is a resident of the state. Just curious.
Anyway, go Tom go!
