how much of an “oil man’ is Bush

From childhood. His dad, an oil man himself, formed Zapata Oil to drill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Where is it written that gasoline has to be a bargain??

I have used cordless drills in my profession for years and I can now purchase the same drill for 1/2 the price it was two years ago. Many things in my life are much less expensive that they were a couple of years ago. So what if gas costs more now than it did when I had my first job at a gas station and was selling gas for $.20/gal. Hell I paid $2000 for a stereo in 1978 that I could buy for $99 today, $650 for my first vcr - I think they give those things away now.

I guess the point is it’s all relative, stop your whining!

The price we have to pay for fuel doesn’t upset me so much.
It’s the fact that we are enriching our enemies!!

I mean it would be like we were buying VW’s from Germany during WWII!

What kind of stupidity is that!!!

I only hope that the next administration & congress will “get on the stick” and open up ANWR and the coastlines for drilling and lets start building nuclear electrical generating/desalination plants!!!

And they won’t care what the reasons are. They’ll only feel the pain.

No systemic shortages of gasoline as yet. RBOB gasoline 2.69, diesel 2.95. Add whatever your several charities collect and 2 cents for the gas station or fuel truck owner’s feelthy profit and there you are.

That's the pits. I live near the intersection of I-86 and I-15 (Pocatello, ID). It's a pretty critical refuel point for trucks and cars making the north/south or east/west run. We have the advantage of a big rail yard (largest switch yard west of the Mississippi). That provides an alternative and cheap way to move stuff into town as necessary.
