Coming from the Peoples Republic of California, I am NOT surprised.

When will the Californian’s rise up and take their state back from the fascists ?

Like other socialist and communist states your children belong to the state and they will be brought up brainwashed as the state sees fit.
You go there Calif, just like nazi Germany, Maos China, Fidels Cuba etc.

My wife told me that HSLDA has advised their Cali members to ignore the ruling. Hear me now, believe me later - the fool that issued this ruling will live to regret it.

The right to homeschool has been recognized and secured (NOT GRANTED) by SCOTUS.

CWII is just around the corner.

No it's not. We're going to sleep like a bunch of lambs.

Quite likely the S. Ct. would take that case, IMO.

I can’t even imagine that the State of California has the resources to go after 100,000 people when they can’t even seem to find one illegal. If they pass this, most homeschoolers will just go into hiding and California will never find them.

This is probably the beginning of a national government and elite backlash. If it is not beaten back in California expect it to spread rapidly to much of the rest of the country with the Washington adding requirements to end homeschooling as a condition for participation in the School Lunch Program if we get a Democrat administration. Has McCain said anything about homeschooling?

It's modern-day Germany, my FRiend, modern day. The Germans are already ripping children from the arms of their homeschooling parents and throwing them in mental asylums (the children, not the parents...the parents get thrown in jail if they refuse to stop homeschooling). The "rationale" is that the government doesn't want any of their citizens growing up with a different worldview than that of their peers (read: state-sanctioned view).
