I have a theory on that.
Kid’s with married, involved, educated parents are going to do better academically regardless whether they are homeschooled or public schooled or private schooled. Since their aren’t many uneducated uninvolved parents trying to homeschool their kids, the stats are going to be skewed.

Then it would seem that the resistance to homeschooling by the NEA and the government is due to the fact that those children are not subject to liberal indoctrination. It has nothing to do with credentials or achievement.
