An independent Scotland will then use its offshore oil to join Opec; and use its oil revenues to buy enough F-15s to keep the Brits at bay.

Scotland is a net loss to the British economy, including oil receipts. Scotland can't secede soon enough IMO.

Scotland is only part of the Union because a Scottish King became King of England as well. Seriously: you want to go, we won't stop you. Secede already! And as a byproduct, England will go back to being Conservative.

Is it true that in Scotland the socialists are as common as Sheep turds?

Looks like the UK version of the our debate about the Presidential Succession Act. (Let’s see, can Bill Clinton be Hillary’s VP?) IOW’s, FAT CHANCE!

That seems like an awfully long title for an article, couldn’t they just say, “Chuckie’s Back!!!”?

I’ve been wondering when someone might decide to take the British monarchy seriously again and install a king who actually acts like one, fully using his powers as soveregn.

I have it on impeachable authority from Mel Brooks that it is good to be King. :)

Quite happy with a Queen who acts like one, thanks. As for the monarch’s powers...we went through quite a bit of trouble in the 1640s, if I remember, to establish that sovereignty lies with Parliament.

If a Catholic girl ever catches the eye of William or Harry, this act is going to get repealed, like, yesterday. And they coerce this Duke guy into signing away any claim to the throne, just to dot all their i’s and lowercase j’s.

Give me a f***ing break. Besides which, the Jacobite rebellion was a British rebellion, not just a Scottish one....
