Obama appeals to “the angry” in America
Israpundit ^ | April 12/08 | Ted Belman

Obama’s latest gaffe occurred in San Francisco when he attempted to persuade white working-class voters who, he said, fell through the cracks during the Bush and Clinton administrations.

“So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,”

Hillary responds,

“I don’t think it helps to divide our country into one America that is enlightened and one that is not, If you want to be the president of all Americans, you need to respect all Americans.”

McCain adviser Steve Schmidt called it a

“remarkable statement and extremely revealing.”

“It shows an elitism and condescension towards hardworking Americans that is nothing short of breathtaking,”

“It is hard to imagine someone running for president who is more out of touch with average Americans.”

Obama didn’t apologize for these remarks. I suggest its because he doesn’t understand how offensive they are. As McCain says, he is “out of touch”.

I maintain that Obama has made many such statements that illustrate how skewed his understanding and his vision is. He thinks everybody is “bitter” just like the congregants in his church and other like churches. He wants to represent the alienated, the disaffected, the angry and the bitter. Thus plays the grievance card.

As Pastor Wright says, “Barack doesn’t fit the mould.” He is so far removed from middle America, emotionally, that he just doesn’t understand them. He doesn’t know their language

This statement is off-key to my ears. Here are some more of his off-key statements.

In his More Perfect Union Speech ostensibly to reject the sermons by Pastor Wright, he embraced them. CONTINUE

Hopefully this is the one that gets this guy out of this race (future races?) for good.

Not sure how the media can spin this away.

Somewhere in rural Pennsyvania….

“So how’d it go at the unemployment office today, Jim-Bob?”

“I’m so dang frustrated! The government isn’t listening to me! Where’s my dang gun, Shirley?”

“Where it always is, next to the potatoes in the pantry. Can you explain your frustrations, Jim-Bob?”

“Yeah! I’ll explain ‘em! Watch this!”

Blam! Blam! Blam!

“Would you watch out with that thing? There’s another hole in the water heater, and you almost hit the damn parakeet!”

“Well too bad I didn’t hit one ‘a them durn immigrants! They’re all diffrunt from me!”

“Well dear, you know there’s a tent revival tonight, at least that’s something we can cling to.”

“I don’t know Shirley. If only there was some way we could bring about a… a… change in America.”

“Well now that you mention it Jim-Bob, I was watchin the tee-vee over at the hairdressers today, and there was this nice young man on with some kind of funny A-rab soundin’ name. I didn’t understand what he was sayin’, but whatever it was made me feel good inside, like there was hope again.”

“Ohhhh yeah. That negro fellow at the bowlin alley. First time I’ve ever seen a negro at the bowlin’ alley, huh.”

“Well that’s just it. Such an articulate young man. Even though I didn’t understand nothin’, it was like, I felt like I was floatin’ up on a big fluffy cloud, with all the immigrants, and everybody else, even that blockhead brother of yours. And we were all friends, there was this, like, unity.”

“Wow Shirley – that’s great! If only there was someone like that in the central govmint as the President! Someone that would listen to my concerns for a change!”

“Well maybe there can be now, Jim-Bob. Why don’t you put that gun down, and lets eat these beans, before they get cold.”

One reason I like going to church is because I know I will spend time with some of the happiest, least bitter people around.

Now - if I could just get them to stop preaching that nonsense about Jesus being a jew instead of a black man!

Everyone knows the Savior of the world would never belong to a gutter religion! /s

Hey Barack!

What about those of us who are NOT FRUSRTRATED, who practice our religion out of a deep sense of FAITH?

What about those of us who are NOT FRUSRTRATED, who simply enjoy the RIGHTS OF GUN OWNERSHIP, including hunting, target practice and competition?

More proof that he is nothing more than an elitist son of priviledge who has little knowledge of real people’s lives.

I still can't figure out why the media hail this lightweight candidate's rhetorical "skills" -- unless, of course, they've been in the tank for him from the beginning. His voice irritates me as much as his rival's voice does, so thank goodness for the mute button!
My gawd! What a pathetic group we're left with in November when talent abounds in this country!

look at his response to his original comment video If a white guy would have said something about the inner city folks who are criminals, absent fathers, blah blah. Do you think he would get away with it? And then he follows up with saying " I said something that everyone knows is true"

Is this guy serious?

He makes it sound like being white collar is a disease...

He's trying to lump those who live in rust belt and may have lost their jobs when manufacturing went overseas as "victims." The answer however is not to make them a perpetual victim class, as Obama and Wright do for the Blacks, but to give them tools so they can help themselves to a better education, skills and lifestyle. A candidate needs to give them a vision that they alone can give themselves a better life, not government freebies at the expense of those who have jobs.

After 25 years, most have weathered the hard times and moved on, many in small businesses. The irony is that those who took it upon themselves to become successful are exactly the ones Obama and Hillary both target with higher taxes that will prevent them and others, maybe their employees, from enjoying the benefits of their hard work.

Keeping that map for reference - of states NOT to move to -

If America is deaf/dumb and blind enough to let this man into the WH - there will be blood in the streets.

He is nothing but a "Polished, Programmed Puppet" of the Black Liberationists, under the control of his Svengali Surrogate Daddy, the Rev. Bullfrog.

Their goal: Get their puppet into the WH

Get the hand guns and any others possible out of the hands of Whitey.

Unleash the "Quiet Riots" Obama spoke of (in another venue where he thought it was safe to say what he thought) = and as these Rodney-King riots engulf the cities across the country, the Islamofacists will join in - (they may already be working together for that day)

I’m going to go ahead and say with the exception of Reagan, there’s been nothing but puppets in the White House for a long time.
