I volunteered with abused/neglected children. I understand the nature of what you dealt with...believe me! :-(

I find that hard to believe from the nature of your posts.

You would stand aside and do nothing for the children in the FLDS cult. "Send 'em back, Jeffs and his buddies have their rights!." "Cry the tears for the poor, poor 'mothers' who have their (or someone else's) babies ripped out of their arms by the dastardly storm troopers of the state of Texas."

Hi Gondring! You’re certainly up early this morning shilling for FLDS.

It seems at times that the hoax-raid apologists are almost gleeful in hearing evidence of potential abuse. :-( They remind me a lot of the sick anti-war types who celebrate America's setbacks just because it makes their political position look good.

Perhaps some of them find Brian Jeffs' and Carolyn Jessup's accusation compelling and think that the state had due cause to investigate on site years ago. They expect them to find what was alleged.

Perhaps the people in that category consider that the issue of the warrant is secondary to making sure the kids are okay. They aren't "gleeful" as you claim - merely vindicated.

You seem feel free to attribute unsavory motivations to them out of hand. Perhaps you are looking in a mirror.

“it stinks to take all those kids from their moms....period.”

What moms?? I thought those “moms” refused to identify their childrena and the children could not identify their own parents. The State cannot release a child into the custody of a person who refuses to own up to the child.

There seems to be a tremendous lack of evidence in this case,

Since evidence being gathered in an open investigation into sexual abuse of minors is not open to the public, what is your source on this lack of evidence thing? I plan on waiting for the indictment phase before I am willing to make that assessment.

I'm shocked at your lack of comprehension. Nothing of the sort was stated. Blackbird.

actually there are monogamous family moms in the compound too

btw....for the women have culpability gang here?

if the states thinks the women deserve to have the kids taken then how does that fly that the women were victims too?

if all moms are not claiming children then how did they leave the nursing moms with their unweaned?

Oh come on. After some experience in the foster care system, and the 24/7 filth on tv which they will see for the first time in their lives, never mind being trown to the wolves in the public school system; all the horror stories they were told by their multiple parents will seem true.

It's going to be a culture shock for them no matter how you look at it.

OK, a foreword, I don't have time to repeat myself but I don't care what the FLDS does as long as all laws are being met, if they are not, then arrest the perps without taking all the kids out of there. Polygamy, I don't like it myself, but I just think we have much bigger fish to fry right now plus it ain't much of a problem nor will it be. If you want to read them in their entirety, you can go here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2007544/posts?page=161#161

Note IUD = IED, I was up late, and Freepin' while watching a horror movie at the same time. B-)

I think the best one to bring up what I'm going to say is Michael Savage, he was right on and I hope I can do almost as well. I can see how some religious groups like the FLDS and Moslems do react to our lifestyle (the collective "our" I mean, I know many of us here don't like the dumbing down of morality) in the U.S. when they see Hollywood, teenage pregnacies (at least the polygamist's kids are spoken for), shootings, murders for over $5.00, and so on. I think to the average Moslem, FLDS, or fill in the blank very religious group, they see themselves as protecting their people and societies from that. As Savage said, "you are not going to corrupt us, our women and daughters" with what's coming out of Hollywood. I know perhaps the meter has really swung the other way too much in the eyes of some but I cannot blame them for condemning how morally we have fallen in the US and Western Europe. I've heard stories of some (former) East German men converting to Islam because of this plus its appeal to the poor. Myself, I believe in Jesus and God so I do know better. I just think that a lot of these religious groups are a counter reaction to the filth coming out of Hollywood, Europe and so on.

Now this doesn't give anybody the excuse to fly planes into buildings, underage sex, "bleeding 'The Man'" dry, or to commit other crimes, but we do need to realize that our society has our warts too and does need a good cleaning before we can start pointing fingers.

Love the satire of her pic on the Vietnam War surplus M113's. What's missing is the Gestapo major from "Hogan's Heroes," Major Hochstetter, leading the charge. B-) B-P B-|

They, too, are undergoing DNA testing. Wanna bet they are under supervision?

Your post is so correct.
Those being pedantic with a so called rule of law
vs. the life and well being of a human under the
abuse of a cult have no clue what the reality is.

I don’t think some get it that this isn’t an adult man and wife in legal marriage with children but a cult commune with women in servitude and their children not knowing
the reality of an honest family unit and brought up in a narrow and abusive commune.

I find it interesting that so many on FR do not believe in
a man having only one wife which is the teaching of
Judaeo-Christian belief.

FLDS parents are probably non-violent pacifists, just guessing...but all *other* parents are going to see the System taking away breast-feeding babies from their mommies and think that “there’s nothing to lose by trying to keep our kids.”

It’s sort of like passing the death-penalty for driving 1 mph over 55mph; no one in their right mind would ever stop for a highway patrolman after such a law passed.

...It’s sort of like passing the death-penalty for driving 1 mph over 55mph...

Disagree. Firstly, Grooming daughters for polygamy rape is reason enough to remove the children and possibly criminally indict the parents. Secondly, until the DNA tests are returned the parents are unconfirmed, absent state birth certificates.
