DC Madam commits suicide in Tarpon Springs

TARPON SPRINGS - Police were called to the home of DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey's mother on Thursday to investigate her apparent suicide.

Police have confirmed that the dead person is Palfrey who was 52.

Palfrey was dubbed "The DC Madam" by the national media after her arrest for allegedly running an upscale call girl ring in the nation's capitol.

Ken Starr says (in 2015, after he’s completed his investigation) that it was a suicide. Case closed.

“It was her, and she’s deceased,” said Frank Ruggiero, a public information officer with the Tarpon Springs Police Department. “There’s no question that it was a suicide.”

In all fairness some people post before reading the entire thread. In a case like "Arkancide" it probabably just popped into their heads and they posted.

However, I agree with your assessment. The Free Republic of the lates 90s, early 2000s was a lot better than it is now. The level of the discussion was much higher. Spent many a long night browsing through threads.
