TARPON SPRINGS - Police were called to the home of DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey's mother on Thursday to investigate her apparent suicide.
Police have confirmed that the dead person is Palfrey who was 52.
Palfrey was dubbed "The DC Madam" by the national media after her arrest for allegedly running an upscale call girl ring in the nation's capitol.

One of the escort service employees was former University of Maryland, Baltimore County, professor Brandy Britton, who was arrested on prostitution charges in 2006. She committed suicide in January before she was scheduled to go to trial.

I mean it COULD really be suicide- and we haven’t heard yet how she died. But the authorities were sooo fast in their statement that it was absolutely suicide that it sends up red flags.

Hanging by nylon rope. That can be staged but suicide notes are a little harder to stage.

Palfrey was not scheduled to be sentenced until July 24th!!!! Wonder why she was in such a hurry to kill herself....and what happened to her sense of bravado?

Don’t look for Joe Scarborough to comment. His assistant was found dead at either the Fla or DC office. I think it happened in Florida but he’s on msnbc now, not in Congress, probably just a coincidence but I can’t see him discussing this during Morning Joe tomorrow.
