I know that Time is a Liberal mouthpiece but if you believe half of what is in this poll, the public has been effectively duped.

Mr Coleman should be given equal time to present his side of global warming.

He would be very busy combating the hysterics of The Weather Channel of today.

John Coleman is one of the very few things I miss since moving from San Diego a while back. I miss his Friday night reports on KUSI.

What were the numbers of supporters in the American Revolution?

Less than half.

I once read that 10% of the population were active participants in the American Revolution.

It might have been the book 1776 by David McCoughlan, an interesting read.

Thank you Jim Coleman. Sad that your Weather Channel is now one of the most unabashed Global Warming advocates.

I love the point about co2 as a greenhouse gas. You want a really effective greenhouse gas, really el numero uno? Try dihydrogen monoxide. Ubiquitous, colorless, tasteless in pure form. Here is a substance that directly kills hundreds of thousands every year from inhalation. I swear, if it were up for FDA approval, the safety hazards of dihydrogen monoxide are such I’m certain it would be banned outright.

Unfortunately, a clever bit of propaganda has allowed it to be called “water”, and billions are made by greedy corporations who bottle it and actually tout its health effects. When is Algore going to take on the dihydrogen monoxide profiteers?

Thank you for posting this. I enjoyed reading every word and will add it to my collection of articles.

With the current sun spot activity at a such a low, many who study the phenomenon are beginning to think we might be headed into another "Maunder Minimum". If this proves to be true, the resulting cool down, with the inevitable ice and snow that will follow, should put the "warmers" in such a pickle that even the casual observer will realize these AGW folks are nothing more than snake oil salesmen.....

The problem is the legislative momentum it has already built up. So much of it is taken as a given by so many people that its almost developed its own language. The constant talk about "carbon footprints" makes me roll my eyes. There is a very real possibility that cap and trade laws will be put in place before the truth comes and is widely accepted, with all the catastrophic consequencies John Coleman mentions. As he says, we've has a taste already. One he doesn't mention is the potential effect on terrorism of the ever increasing sums being sent to the Middle East through rising fuel prices.

This is excellent. I wish I had just read it in the NYT instead of FR but we all have a forward button on our computers.

" ... I once read that 10% of the population were active participants in the American Revolution ..."

Right you are. Most sat on the sidelines, and many were loyalists. (British sympathizers)

" ... Loyalists were numerous and included small farmers as well as large landowners, royal officeholders, and members of the professions; they were to be found in varying strength in every colony. A large part of the population was more or less neutral, swaying to this side or that or else remaining inert in the struggle, which was to some extent a civil war. So it was to remain to the end ...

"That is one crowded bus..."

Anyone ever see the short film: Psychic Parrot?

Plot:
Psychic Parrot makes prediction of the future and they are always right. One day Psychic Parrot announces that the world will end in one week.

Imagine the hysteria! The politicians all know SOMETHING has to be done!

They decide to fill up a spaceship with ‘all of the best people' (read: politicians) and send it to the moon to start a colony there.

The spaceship takes off. It lands on the moon.

Psychic Parrot makes a new announcement. Psychic Parrot says: “Braak! Psychic Parrot wrong! Braak!”

Then the Moon explodes.

How arrogant of man to think he can actually DESTROY the earth.

Yes, we’re commanded to be good stewards and, in many cases, have NOT been. But we are getting better at it.

BUT these guys like ALGORE want some sort of feel-good socialist utopia where THEY are in charge, directing every human activity into the CORRECT PATH.

With the alleged collapse of “communism” (it didn’t. they just traded their uniforms for blue suits and tucked their guns into their waistbands — for now!), the left needed some new “boogeyman” with which to herd humanity into the corral. The environment was the best bet and they have worked it like a rented mule.

I could go on for pages but I think you get the idea.

Re-read “1984” for the complete game plan.
And wonder if we might get their attention if several million folks sent a message such as this one to their legislators. And given the $$$$ the Middle East potentates surreptitiously funnel into our political campaigns, it will TAKE millions!

It’s NOW time – PAST TIME — to do the following things to break our dependence on FOREIGN supplies for our URGENT energy needs:
1. SPEED the permitting and construction of NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS HERE. If France can safely generate 80% of THEIR needs with nukes, what’s OUR problem?
2. Immediately begin safe and ecologically sensitive extraction of the MASSIVE U.S. OIL SHALE DEPOSITS (Bakken Formation and others) and drilling in our off-shore coastal regions. Unless, of course, the Democrats prefer that those Gulf of Mexico deposits go to the Cubans and Chicoms.
3. Immediately ease the permitting of NEW REFINERIES HERE (ecologically sensitive, of course.)
4. Halt the IDIOTIC CORN ETHANOL based fuel program. It may be popular with agribusiness legislators and their pals BUT it is a NET ENERGY LOSER (more units IN than come OUT – DUUUHHHHH!) This goofy program is – along with the oil situation – killing Americans on food prices but ACTUALLY killing FOLKS in other parts of the world. And THAT’S not only STUPID — it’s IMMORAL.

And here’s a REAL benefit American families can understand: Once we’re no longer dependent on oil from the Middle East, we can bring our troops home and let those folks go back to doing what they’ve honed into an art form over their several thousand year history – killing one another instead of OUR boys and girls. Heck, once we’re out of there, they might even get along for a few decades.

In my remarks in New York I speculated that perhaps we should sue Al Gore for fraud because of his carbon credits trading scheme.
Right on, right on, right on!

I wish John McCain was somehow forced to read this. But then I wonder if he doesn't already know but will not go against the tide for fear of losing votes. Maybe this is so with all politicians, If this is so, all we can do is ride the roller coaster of frenzied trends from one disaster to another.

John Coleman.

I can still hear his voice. I grew up with him at the weatherman in Chicago.

He revolutionized the way weather is presented on TV. It's wonderful to learn that he started the weather channel and has the brains and guts to stand up to the Global Warming Mafia.

I sent the link to this article to McCain’s election website. I respectfully asked that they have McCain to please read it. It might have been a waste of time, I know.
