She took Naomi Campbell’s job from her. I can only go by what the industry called her. I’m not married to the term, though, since I never even heard of her until a half hour ago.

I’ll have to give it a try. I like most types of Asian cuisine, but Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese are my favourites.

I like the way the chefs slice and dice and prepare food. You choose your own fresh ingredients and then watch them cook it for you. Divinoso!

I’m sorry for your personal losses. I knew of these people and regret their passing for different reasons, but it is a more remote feeling for me. It’s tough for people you personally knew to go at the same time.

Just in case you all didn’t know: Benihana means crimson flower in Japanese. :)

I’ve got one Kyoto in the area, and another on the way. I thought it was just a local thing, so I don’t know if it’s related to the one you knew. I liked it, but it wasn’t quite as good for me. Most of the competitors are good, though, so Beni’s just edges them out (for me).

Devon is an actress mainly. She was in Sin City-she has an incredible facial resemblance to a friend of mine, who is about 20 years older than her. When I mentioned it,she asked who Devon Aoki was so I showed her a photo and she almost fell over-they look like older/younger sisters-Aoki is Japanese/Caucasian and my friend is Japanese/Chinese.

For some reason they're all different.

That’s a shame about Rocky, every Benihana I’ve been in (and that’s about half a dozen) has been a high quality, memorable dining experience. The food was always excellent, the service was superb, just an all around great time.

Although I always wondered why every chef when tossing the bean sprouts around always made that same joke about ‘Japanese French Fries’, lol

Rest in Peace Rocky, Sarakata.

Will his funeral be open grilled with knife weilding chefs chopping him up into little pieces?

She plays a female assassin in the movie “Sin City” as well. Look her up on IMDB.com to see other movies she’s been in.

Come on. Show a little respect.

Besides, the most they are doing is flipping his body into a giant red hat.

Condolences to Rocky Aoki’s family and friends. I’d gone to one of the Benihana restaurants in California once and it was the most unique, enjoyable, fun-filled family dinner I’ve ever had.

I was a major fan of the Benihana in Roslyn, NY when I was a child. Last one I visited was located on the intercoastal waterway in Fort Lauderdale when visiting my parents about five years ago.

Is it true that Rocky once owned a gay bar?

Evelyn Keyes who played Suellen O'Hara the sister of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind passed away on July 4th, but it was only announced on Fri. the 10th. She was 91. It has been a rough week for celebrities.

Yes, it has...although Snow and maybe even DeBakey might not consider the word “celebrity” a compliment....
