I think that they’re beautiful!
It’s much more fun to grow up in a big family. I wish I’d been able to give my kids a larger family.

Like my grandma, had ten kids in twenty years, 8 of them lived to be adults. They didn't even have indoor plumbing or electricity! They worked the fields, picked cotton, had their own chickens for eggs and meat. Dried their own meats. Whatever they didn't sell, fruits and veggies, they canned for themselves, the over ripe stuff that didn't sell. They were all so healthy, except Grandma, who died at 36. She refused to go to a doctor and hemorrhaged after baby #10.

And when you really love what you’re doing, it doesn’t feel like sacrifice is the right word, does it?

The children are BEAUTIFUL! I meant the mom isn’t beautiful, but maybe she used to be. That has to be hard on you. The children are gorgeous. They are blondies like my family.

Oh, but you’re thinking in modern terms, where the kids are just freeloading off their parents until they move out to freeload off the gov’t.
“A hundred years ago” every child was another helping set of hands in the business called “family” (once they were old enough to help).

That’s a beautiful family. Someone should remove the frankly unpleasant caption and just post their picture up.

Governments like Russia and Germany are giving families child benefits as well in order to raise their birth rates.

I think there are 4 boys (I was counting too, LOL)...the one sitting on Mom’s lap appears to be a boy.

Its called welfare. The state pays for all the kids Im sure. How in the hell do you know that? For your information pal this is a conservative web site and Free Republic loves big families and is pro-life.

Governments like Russia and Germany are giving families child benefits as well in order to raise their birth rates.Yes it makes sense. Of course, it might be better for these countries and the UK to reduce taxes in the first place so that people are better able to finance their own families :0(

...and always manages to get back her 7st 5lbs ideal weight 7 stone! I love that. So anti-metric.

And when you really love what youre doing, it doesnt feel like sacrifice is the right word, does it?Nope!
I'm the oldest of eight, and I had a great childhood, despite not having the latest gadgets or styles. I think the ship has sailed for me personally having a big family, even if I meet the right man, but my younger siblings may take up the slack... ;-)

I find that picture offensive. This is a beautiful family...and some of you cheapen the whole concept of large families (thinking you are being funny).
Sad........
I grew up one of 7 kids and would have never traded that fun and closeness in for a small family.

In England you are not allowed to not recieve state money, basically. Taxes are at punitive levels, and then you have to apply for various “credits” to get money back. Most people can’t make ends meet without the money they receive from the state. In this case, they will certainly be getting their child tax credit, over 600 pounds a month for a family that size.
