McCain has a new smear ad out accusing Obama of snubbing injured troops because he couldn't take cameras along to visit them. That smear is gonna sting. If that label sticks, the Democrats could have another candidate like John Kerry on their hands, someone who people think has disdain for the military. That could sink Obama's ship.
There is something he could do, of course, to head off this mounting criticism and to counter John McCain's promise that he is always there for the troops. Name Chet Edwards his running mate.
Chet Edwards, the chairman of the Veterans Affairs committee, is very popular among the military. He could bridge the patriotism gap for an Obama campaign.
Last week, I offered Five Reasons Why Obama Should Choose Chet Edwards, and this week I am wondering if it's not only a good choice, but a political necessity.

He’s a Democrat, a Communist and a Muslim, so he hates the US military, but not the Iranian or Russian or French military, or the military of any of America’s other enemies.
It's not a smear or an attack if you state the facts.
Does Obama really hate the military or does he just hate the fact that the military turns young men and women without direction into strong minded people who can see through his b.s.?

I wonder why? Actually I know why. I just hope all the kiddies out there come off their toys long enough to actually look, listen and learn about the Marxist who want a world government controlled by the UN, where there will be no currency but ID cards that we have to have to buy anything and will be tracked by the IRS. This will probably include E-Bay, Pay-Pal, etc.

I doubt that Obama “hates” the military.
He doesn’t understand the military culture at all, is clueless about military organization and chain of command issues, and has spent his life in the company of liberal marxist/socialists who are contemptuous of any idiots who choose to serve flawed national ideals in the “American” military (just not those of Russia Cuba China Iran Syria et al)
As CINC I predict the first things he will do is open the barracks to flamboyant gays, order everyone in uniform to participate in celebrating diversity, and ban Fox News from the Armed Forces network. Then he will try to figure out how to shut down our nuclear stockpile.
Never heard of him. Besides, military folks are smarter than that.

Well, yes, naturally, until it's used under his control to confiscate your guns, monitor activities and arrest your preachers. Then, he'll fund them like crazy.

The guy is dumb as a board. So far he's not expressed one seemingly intelligent word outside of his canned speeches and they're all written by others.
It simply didn't occur to his handlers that it might be advisable for their candidate to visit the wounded at the hospital all by himself, and there's probably a good reason for why they think that way.
(Can you say "uh, duh, uuhh, duiidhuu"? ~ Obama can!)
