And yet, the US printed map I have of China from 1955 looks virtually identical (in terms of boundaries) to the maps of China printed today. Frankly, I’ll sleep better knowing that Beijing controls Xinjiang.

I just like to say that this person is lying about me. I’m not a troll and have never demonstrated any such behavior, other than when I was called names or lied about.
I’m a long time conservative who has lurked at FR for a few months. I decided since I was in China to give a few reports and a few opinions. I’ve tried dealing with the name calling on my own without ever hitting the abuse button. I’ve been polite to polite posters, but yes, I have dished it back a few times.

I don’t think they’re “Arabs.” More like “Turks.” They are Muslim. Beijing considers them “Chinese.” Not “Han” Chinese, but I think an “official minority group.” Others might add some details to this.
