This is a good idea. We need to protect McCain from himself !
nice list! we should get JimRob to keep it posted here somewhere handy
The GOP bigwigs are always trying to find a way to lose.

What type of VP gets McCain the most votes: Pro-choice or Pro-life?
Perhaps this will be the final nail in the coffin for the GOP getting Conservatives to vote for them no matter what.

Calling HQ Ping!
Sorry not going to waste my time. A pro-life president is better than a pro-abortion one. I would never considered voting for Obama, just because McCain picks a pro-abortion VP.
I've been a Republican all my life. I first voted in 1992, and have voted Republican ever since.
National Review has it out that McCain is tossing out the possibility of a pro-choice running mate. My answer is: McCain will lose support of myself and most other pro-Life Republicans if he does this. I encourage members of McCain's staff to browse letters to the editors, blogs, and websites like FreeRepublic.com to gauge Conservative's reaction and understand the financial and vote risk with the wrong choice.
McCain did a great service to his candidacy at the debate this past weekend with his pro-life remarks. Any action that would dilute that stance will flat lose the election for him. As you can see by my record, I have been a long time financial supporter of Republican candidates and have worked many hundreds of hours campaigning nationally and locally. I have been withholding financial support this year until McCain makes his choice. Please don't let Conservatives down. You cannot win by picking up scraps of liberals. They already have a candidate to support.
A pro-choice VP pick could be a real deal breaker for a lot of conservatives given McCains age. A pro-choice VP would be an extraordinarily BAD idea.

I’ve already e-mailed Senator McCain’s office about this..and have an old friend who’s in contact with his staff- sent him an e-mail too.
The VP choice will determine the direction the party goes after McCain. The chance of him running again in 2012 is slim. Also, the VP is the President of the Senate and can be a swing vote in any nomination.
I don’t care nearly as much about who McCain picks as I do that Obama gets defeated. That is THE most important priority.
Remember that.
Here's the information I posted regarding contacts: "The website contact link is Contact John McCain or they provide info@johnmccain.com as an alternate. The phone number listed on that page is (703) 418-2008. I'd think these would be sufficient unless overloaded."
AdMod; can we get this in the sidebar, say News/Activism?
