While Barack Obma's wife supposedly moved the masses with an "emotionally powerful" speech, the presidential candidate worked behind the scenes to kill a television ad that highlights his decades-long relationship to a renowned terrorist. Obama has warned television stations across the nation not to continue airing the incriminating commercial linking him to William Ayers, a Vietnam-era radical and fugitive from justice who has proudly admitted planting bombs on the Capitol, Pentagon and other government buildings to protest U.S. policy. Ayers, a member of the terrorist group Weather Underground, has long supported Obama's political career by donating money to his campaigns and hosting fundraisers at his home. Obama and the aging radical hang out in the same political and social circles, live in the same Chicago neighborhood and for years served together on the board of a Chicago nonprofit. For decades Obama didn't seem bothered by his terrorist buddy's violent past or that he publicly has said he doesn't regret setting bombs and that in fact his group "didn't do enough." Besides trying to block stations from airing the ad, Obama has asked the Justice Department to intervene and he has tried bullying advertisers to pressure stations running the ad. The commercial simply points out that Obama and Ayers are friends and that the senator has defended the terrorist as respectable and mainstream. It also reveals that Obama's political career was launched in Ayers' home and that the friends served together on a left-wing board.

If the ad were untrue, he would deny it, sue for slander or counter it with facts.
The only thing you can do with a truth that you don’t like is to try to bury it.
His reaction says much more than the ad itself does.

It doesn’t matter that Barrack was only 8 years old at the time - He was young and impressionable, and Ayers hasn’t changed. Just that they were friends in Barrack’s adulthood show he was still impressed.
This is BS on BO’s part! I am just a tad older than BO by months and I remember the Weather Underground and their bombings! So what is his excuse for hanf=ging out with the guy when he was much older knowing his background? Even after the 9/11 article saying he didn’t do enough bombing? I do think this ad is much too close tothe truth and BO doesn’t like it. I saw the ad repeatly yesterday but haven’t seen it at all today.
Don’t you know we are supposed to give him a break? He was in Indonesia trying not to be a Muslim at the time of the bombing. /s
