(CBS) Speaking on Face The Nation Sunday, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani said that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was announced Friday as presumptive GOP nominee John McCains running mate, is more qualified to be president than Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
You know why? She had to make decisions, Giuliani told Face The Nation anchor Bob Schieffer. All Senator Obama has had to do is talk. That's all he does.
Palin, who is 44 years old, has been the governor of Alaska for less than two years. Previously, she served two terms as mayor of the town of Wasilla, Alaska, whose population in 2000 was 5,470.
Citing her executive experience, the Republican National Convention keynote speaker called Palin somebody of accomplishment because she's vetoed legislation, she's taken on corruption, and in her party, and won. She took on the oil companies and won. She administered a budget successfully.
He also said Obama is the least experienced candidate for president in the last 100 years.

HA, HA, HA! Is this really the direction the Rats want to take this debate? It only opens it up for her to beat expectations at every turn, especially in the debate with Biden.
Rudy is not afraid to tell it like it is.
That’s why the Dems hate him.
2010 it looks like.
RG will give a great speech I have no doubt. There will be plenty of one-liners that will play very well as sound bites. They well be thoughtful and thought provoking.
He will also tear the Rats a new, bloody one....he's a pitbull.
He also said Obama is the least experienced candidate for president in the last 100 years.

OUCHEE!
Right on, Rudy!!! For once we strongly agree on something. ;)
Note to diddy, check the pic, looks like a sista balln up....
On page 3 of the trancript (see my previous post0:
“Mayor GIULIANI: ...Senator Obama is the least experienced candidate for president in the last 100 years. I mean, he’s never run a city, he’s never run a state, he’s never run a business, he’s never administered a payroll, he’s never led people in crisis. My goodness, I mean, he had to put all that emphasis on somebody helping him because he’s never had a record of executive experience. And frankly, during his campaign against Hillary Clinton, the judgments that he displayed demonstrated that he doesn’t have executive experience. ...
...I mean, I think that she (Palin) already has more executive experience than Biden and Obama combined.”
Palin is a good person. In addition to that, choosing her may prove to have been a master stroke of election strategy, because it will keep alive the issue of qualifications and experience, and on that issue Obama loses, hands down.
Palin can demonstrate that a good former small-town mayor with only two years experience as governor of a sparsely populated, noncontiguous, grizzly-infested, wilderness state is a much better candidate that Obama.
I don’t think that anyone will remember Biden with Palin in the contest.
There’s one here somewhere. I saw it yesterday but don’t remember the name of the thread. Good one too.
Obama was smoking and dealing crack under the bleachers during his schools basketball games. "High school" had a different meaning to Obama.
Answer that Senator Obama, if you can!
Huh? Nothing? Thought so.
Debate between Rudy and Barack Hussein? ... Don't make me ROTFLMAO.
Give us 60 days of this, Rudy, and someday we'll consider you an actual Republican. If it works.
Rudy was great. Scheifer was incredulous and Rudy was laughing at how absurd the question was.
If you can find this interview on youtube it’s worth watching. Rudy just laughed in Bob Schieffer’s face on how poorly experienced O is. How in the last 100 years there has NEVER been anyone running for president this under experienced. Of course, Sshieffer was trying to put Palin down and Rudy would have NONE of it. Rudy can eat you up and spit you out in a heart beat. I certainly hope Rudy ends up some place in this mix with McCain/Palin when they take office. What an asset Rudy is.
Our hope is that the average middle ground American will see the difference. The left is unable to see how insane they are acting. Their cries that “she’s inexperienced and one step away from the Presidency” seem completely normal to them. That their candidate is even more inexperienced and running for the actual Presidency makes no difference to them. The media, being full of leftists, will have no problem highlighting this absurd argument.
Leftism is truly a mental illness.
On the plus side, The Discovery Channel has been an unwitting promoter of Palin this year, with their airing of multiple Alaska based programs. LOL.
I don't agree with Guiliani on very many issues. Guiliani does have gifts in the area of administration and skills dealing with the press finely tuned from years of answering the hyper aggressive hostile NY press
BTTT!
