Mod note: Do no post any screenshots of Governor Palin's Yahoo account on Free Republic.
Thank you.

On the heels of media reports that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was using a private Yahoo e-mail account (gov.palin@yahoo.com) to conduct Alaska state business, hackers have broken into the account and posted evidence of the hijack on Wikileaks.

An activist group calling itself ‘anonymous’ claimed responsibility for the compromise and released screenshots, photographs and the e-mail addresses of several people close to Palin, including her husband Todd and assistant Ivy Frye.

Inside job at Yahoo ... It’s happened to plenty of people. These online accounts are not safe.

Reminds me of the people who broke into Clarence Thomas’ garage and went through his trash... all to determine if he believed in the right to privacy.

Are some folks going to start getting visits and Subpoenas from the Secret Service? This sounds like jail and major lawsuit time to me.

“WTF? Does not Alaska have their own Gov. accounts?”

Yes but that allows her to keep correspondence beyond the reach of the Alaska legislature.

I like using them, because I enjoy the convenience of remote login - but I consider ANY email to have the same level of privacy as shouting across my pasture.

I delete any “personal” yahoo emails as soon as I get them, and I tell the rest of my family to do the same.

Not sure I believe the Gov. is using a Yahoo or Gmail or HotMail account because it would fall under the control of and is owned by a bunch of leftist loons, and it can be hacked.

I doubt if Barry's handlers are that dumb either.

AlGore, on the other hand, invented the Internet and is therefore smart enough to know how to use the Yahoo mail server without fear.
