I find it interesting that freepers have known who this jerk was since about 12 hours after it happened but the FBI takes a week to get around to investigating.
It sounds like the FBI is moving forward at a reasonable pace.
The first thing they probably did was file an affidavit and request a subpoena for Yahoo’s log files.
They probably determined the IP addresses that hacked into Palin’s email via CTunnel fairly quickly. But they also got other IP addresses too, so more raids may be going on.
And they apparently determined the range of IP addresses used at Kernell’s apartment.
Then they talked to the CTunnel operator, and he verified that the user’s IP address was in the apartment’s net block.
Then they went to the apartment.
The case is going to the grand jury on Tuesday. They’ll probably have an indictment in time for the evening news. He could be arrested and arraigned by the end of the week. He’ll probably plead guilty, get probation and pay a fine.
This incident could warrant felony charges, but a misdemeanor may be sufficient.
Maybe the punk will roll over and drop a dime on whoever put him up to it, if he hasn’t already. I don’t think he wants to carry around someones toothpaste and toothbrush in jail.
Go felony. Let loser-boy lose his right to vote. Too bad it won’t be in time for this election.

This should at the very least be charged as a felony so that it remains on this loser’s record. Of course, I’m sure his daddy can get him a job as a Democrat operative in TN since criminals are welcome there.

we know that he is suspected of committing a criminal act, but can the Palins also pursue civil action against him?
If this had been a Republican it would have been above the fold every day in the NY Slimes, Washington (com)Post and LASlimes. And the network anchors would be camping on the doorsteps of the perp’s daddy.
He would last about 20 minutes in prison before he was "married" to Bubba.
