What else can you expect from Reformed Jews? Most of them are left-leaning.Arrg. I have to give you a rain check on this piece of crap Reform Bashing. Read the rest of this thread and if you still want to get into this with me.. strap on your leathers..

Well, you were trying to be funny, but it crosses over into disrespect. Some of these individuals just mystify me, but they are not who I would expect to see here.
For example:
Rabbi Abie Ingber, Cincinnati, OH.
This is like the Pope lending his name to a Planned Parenthood fundraiser. But, I would never ever say that your little crack would apply to this great man.

Point taken.
Anyhow, I worked at the Reform Movement's office in NYC briefly (although I am not Reform) so I know the movement's internal politics very well. As a movement, they are very comfortable with taking sides politically, which I think is bad for Judaism as it alienates congregants who don't share their political views. Imagine being a McCain supporter and a congregant at a shul where the Rabbi had joined Rabbis for Obama. It would make one very uncomfortable. Imagine having to sit through sermons on Obama. Ugh.
Strangely enough google Rabbi Abie Ingber and pope and you'll find a captioned picture of him meeting the pope. funny.

Do you have any connection with him or common link? Are you able to email him or talk to him? Maybe you can try.
