I’m waiting for Barack Hussein Obama to say, “People of earth” and then I’ll feel fabulous!

“Herding Cats” Chardonnay, from South Africa. I’ve also got a bottle of Merlot-Pinotage, but Der Prinz is having a tantrum about the mess the children made earlier and isn’t drinking it yet. He’ll feel better if he does.

Herding Cats has a screw top, too. It’s nice not having to hunt for a corkscrew.

In the 1 in a million chance that either Comrade Barack Fitzgerald Obama or McCentrist utter the words "Milton" or "Friedman" I will chug a bottle of whiskey. I think I'm safe. This is a foreign policy debate.

The wise words of my adopted Grandfather:

"What most people really object to when they object to a free market is that it is so hard for them to shape it to their own will. The market gives people what the people want instead of what other people think they ought to want. At the bottom of many criticisms of the market economy is really lack of belief in freedom itself. The essence of political freedom is the absence of coercion of one man by his fellow men. The fundamental danger to political freedom is the concentration of power. The existence of a large measure of power in the hands of a relatively few individuals enables them to use it to coerce their fellow men. Preservation of freedom requires either the elimination of power where that is possible, or its dispersal where it cannot be eliminated. It essentially requires a system of checks and balances, like that explicitly incorporated in our Constitution..."

-- Milton Friedman, The New Liberal's Creed: Individual Freedom, Preserving Dissent Are Ultimate Goals," May 18, 1961

"There are four ways in which you can spend money. You can spend your own money on yourself. When you do that, why then you really watch out what you’re doing, and you try to get the most for your money. Then you can spend your own money on somebody else. For example, I buy a birthday present for someone. Well, then I’m not so careful about the content of the present, but I’m very careful about the cost. Then, I can spend somebody else’s money on myself. And if I spend somebody else’s money on myself, then I’m sure going to have a good lunch! Finally, I can spend somebody else’s money on somebody else. And if I spend somebody else’s money on somebody else, I’m not concerned about how much it is, and I’m not concerned about what I get. And that’s government. And that’s close to 40% of our national income."

---Milton Friedman

I can’t believe 315 posts and nobody has offered up this drinking word/term for tonight: Main Street. Aaaaarrrrgh!
Mr. B has chosen “at the end of the day” as his drinking phrase.

I am all for MAINSTREET!
Also, I dare either one of them to talk about ‘TRUST’ The word ‘TRUST’ may warrant a body shot!! I was going to have margaritas but I think I’ll skip the mix and just hit the tequilalalalala!

The media bias is so massive, one can’t help but be worried about it. Even many Obama supporters admit the bias. One can only hope that the media’s flagrancy will backfire again, as it did shortly after Sarah Palin was nominated as VP.

I am kind of nervous. I hope McCain kicks his ass

I hope he does too, but this debate is meaningless. If a person is so stupid as to not see the difference between these two, they should not have the right to vote. At this point, the debate is a waste of time.

Jimmy Carter beat Gerald Ford in 1976, even though Ford was taller. I think Gore and Kerry are both taller than George W. Bush.

I heard about that earlier this week. Chilean, isn’t it? We haven’t been that pleased with Chilean reds, although I’m sure there are good ones if we just happened to hit the right one.

WHY WHY WHY ???

Because the GOP was too busy trying to pass this off as a bipartisan affair when they should have been mercilessly attacking Franklin, Jimmy, Jamie, Chrissy, Barney, Harry, Nancy. They let the Rats get the jump on them and a DNC controlled media obviously advocating for Obama keeps their narrative in front of the people.

“Herding Cats has a screw top, too. It’s nice not having to hunt for a corkscrew.”

All sharp objects proably need to be locked up during this debate. I just said a quick but very earnest prayer to God to let McCain feel His presence and let His will be done and ....well...let McCain give Obama a RIGHTEOUS BUTT KICKING!
Amen.

Don’t be nervous.

The truth shall set us free.

Once America gets a gander at Obama having to answer real questions, you’ll see his poll numbers drop 20 points tomorrow.

Seriously, is there any way that Obama can get help? Can’t be a teleprompter or anything that obvious.

I know he was slipped the questions ahead of time by someone on the Universally Respected Jim Lehrer’s staff, but ...
