California is the same way. Then again, I was in the GOP decades ago and have since gone non-party Independent because the GOP is such a lost cause. Doesn’t surprise me, the party has been a joke for a long time.

The unions blame Michigan's Economy on Bush and the Republicans. The only chance they had was to convince the rank and file union members that better days would arrive with McCain.
