That would be pointing out past mistakes, something she tried her best to avoid during the debate and slapped Biden for when he kept referring back to Bush’s admin.

Except that the root causes of the financial mess was the topic of the moment. That question can't be answered without looking back.

"It was the performance of his life!"

I just heard Limbaugh say that that phrase will be the talking points for today. Guess he's right....again.

I’m disappointed she didn’t mention the predatory Clinton administration.

I’m disappointed she didn’t mention a lot of things. It seems like the Obama camp is still stuck on the same falacious talking points used in the 04 election; the sliming of President Bush. As long as McCain and Co. let them continue to distort the Presidents record, without setting the record straight, we’re doomed to minority status. I’m afraid we already lost when we let the Democrats choose our candidate. We deserve better!

She twinkled, cocked her head, and spoke as plainly as she could. “Darn right it was predator lenders,” she told the moderator, Gwen Ifill of PBS, when asked who was to blame for the mortgage meltdown.

I'm disappointed she didn't mention the predatory Clinton administration's shameless use of the Community Reinvestment Act as a bludgeon against lenders.

Or irresponsible people buying houses at prices they knew they couldn't afford, with little or nothing down, figuring they'd get rich quick a few months later when home prices had inflated some more and they could refinance and take cash out to keep paying the mortgage and all the bills for their extravagant lifestyle.

No, I am NOT a Sarah Palin fan. She's just blabbing whatever she thinks the masses want to hear, with no reference to principles. I find it depressing that so few FReepers have a problem with that. It's like listening to DU types four years ago, singing the praises of Kerry and Edwards, and insisting it was urgently important to vote for them because they really cared about the plight of poor and middle class people who couldn't afford health care. Seems reality just isn't on the radar screen anymore, and political campaigns are like major league ball games, where the hordes of witless fans holler mindlessly for this team or that because it's "their" team. The leagues and teams trade around steroid-abusing, violent, personally irresponsible players right and left, and it makes no difference to the fans, who continue to holler for "their" team to win no matter who's on it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should run out and vote for Obama. But we also shouldn't make fools of ourselves pretending to worship this alarmingly underqualified VP candidate, with a sketchy political track record.

The only thing your rant is missing is “Get off my lawn!”

They had cosmetic tape on him to give the ol’ fool and eye lift. In quite a few pics you can see it pulling and wrinkling on each side of his botoxed forehead.
