My personal feeling is that the percentage difference in popular vote between McCain and Obama on the election day would be small. Maybe a couple of percent apart. I don't know which one would win the election, though.

On the other hand, depending on how such slim difference gets distributed over many geographical areas, it could turn into rather significant margin in favor of the winner.

If Obama's 20 years of Black Liberation Theology is exposed the margin is going to be +5 to +10 McCain/Palin. It is 100% fair game if the candidate's religion is radical and anti-American.

Let me tell you - Republicans and a lot of Hillary Dems are going to be like rabid dogs going to the polls to vote against the Marxist Indonesian citizen from Kenya.

Drudge mentioned that a EA (Electronic Arts) video game where Obama’s face is on billboards. Ad placement is now normal in video games. People posting messages are talking about how Obama is Big Brother with his face on everything.

Donate & volunteer to McCain-Palin 2008.

Fight fight fight because we are gonna a win. I think Obama is going to drive Republican and anti-Obama voters turnout off the charts.

We all need to e-mail or call Fox and tell them to report a more reliable poll.

I work at a high school and it seems like every member of the faculty and staff and most of the kids are for Obama. It’s discouraging. Still, we must soldier on. I am praying very hard.

The leaked Pennsylvania internals from the Obama camp only show him +2 there.

Leaked by whom? The news is exciting depending upon who reported it.

The methodology, which cbs/nyt did not publish today, has been heavily slanted toward blacks. The theory is that while blacks typically go 90-95% for the dems anyway, the black voter turnout will be so much greater this election that the only way to have a valid poll is to oversample black voters (not entirely irrational theory, btw). The question is, how much of a boost in black voter turnout? Some polls have as much as 23% black respondents (nearly 50% more than their actual population). I do think that most pollsters have discounted the “youth” vote as same-old, same-old. Most college kids will be too drunk or stoned or lazy to show up.

The real question is not the black turnout, which will surely be huge (probably the biggest ever) but the white turnout in opposition. This has not been discussed by any pollster, afaik. I think the spectre of an ultra-extreme leftist terrorist-befriending radical thug politico from Chicago (who happens to be black) is as likely to boost conservative turnout.

It will be very important from here on out to emphasize the cultural divide—abortion, gun rights, families, etc..including the tax issue. Whatever one thinks of McCain’s politics, he did choose Palin and the alternative is quite possibly the annihilation of western cultural influence in American and it’s replacement with the vulgar, socialist, thug, gangsta culture that defines Obama’s followers (regardless of how much Obama tries to run from it).

This election is about nothing less than the survival of everything we cherish in America culture. That this fact will sooner or later dawn on the vast, silent majority, will be the last, best hope for this country. Though they can and do cause despair from time to time, the polls be damned. You and everyone you know must vote; take advantage of the ridiculous motor-voter registrations; bring your cars and vans and suvs to retirement communities and bring your grandparents to the voting booths. Everything they fought for is about to be defecated upon by the supreme thug of all time, Massa Obama.

Why is it that when a Republican is ahead in the polls the news always says "within the margin of error."  But when a dimocrat is slightly ahead in a poll that particular remark always seems to be missing?

15 point spread is by the NY Times.

In other news, the Times is reporting Americans really WANT to be socialists, not capitalists.

Anyone out there from Virginia? Right after the conventions there was a report on three southern counties who normally voted “D”. Seems even the “D” chairmen had resigned because they were all supporting McCain......Sure would like a follow up to see what is happening there now.

Could it be that these increasingly erratic polling numbers are actually the result of pollsters desperately, but quietly, trying to account for something that is significant but practically impossible to quantify...cheating? If, ultimately, accuracy is their bread and butter then, really, how can pollsters avoid what is becoming a cancerous sort of variable? But maybe I’m way off here...

There is no way numbers for McCain could shift downward so dramatically. People don’t change that quickly for no reason. Come election day there are going to be a lot of suicidal Demonrats.

Hey Murp. your Democrat connections are probably Hillary Democrats that know when Obama wins their role in the party is over. Any Dem who has a patronage job, union job, city, county, or whatever who is not plugged into OBama will be worrying. Obama’s ACORN supporters are going to want jobs and favors. Obama will be firing white, moderate or Hillary Dems from jobs and putting his cronies in.

The ONLY way these people get the Dem Party back is by defeating Obama.

So. FL. My neighborhood is very Repub. McCain signs 30 to 1. The interesting thing is there are at least 5 doctors on my street of 30+ houses. 3 have McCain signs. In 2000 and 2004 - only one had a Bush sign. People who never had signs up have McCain signs. These people know Obama will take everything they have.

I just hope they are writing checks and sending money via CC to McCain and/or the RNC web sites. I know I am.

Volunteer and contribute.

The endorsement by the communist party USA and Farrakhan ought to be an issue too, but I suppose to publicly say that would be “too negative.” Oh, some Iranians want 0bama too, don’t they?

I live in suburban Philly... Chester County (McCain and Palin will be here again Thursday). I see virtually NO Obama bumper stickers. Maybe one or two a day. In 2004 I saw mostly Kerry/Edwards stickers, so this is a big change.

I drove back and forth to Long Island Saturday/Sunday, and counted bumper stickers. In my 3 hour trip up, I saw 5 Obama stickers, 3 McCains and 1 Hillary. The ride home was about the same (6 Ob/ 4 Mc). Again, in 2004 there were TONS of Dem stickers along that route. Even on LI I saw mostly McCain and local GOP signs.

One more anecdotal bit... my brother’s in-laws live in “coal mining country”... life long dems, but very Catholic. During the primaries they were big Hillary supporters, saying they couldn’t vote for Obama bc they just don’t trust him. Too slick/nothing really to him. I saw them again last week, assumed they’d have ‘seen the light’ but nope.... they’re voting for McCain. I really belive there are milllions more just like them out here. I really do believe McCain will carry PA by 2-3%.

Just my anecotdal observations...

Good news.

This guy you know in the Dem Party probably knows that if Obama wins - he will be replaced by an ACORN organizer. My guess is a lot of union people are having the same thought. If McCain wins - they lose nothing. If Obama wins - they may get replaced.

I do not trust Murdoch anymore. He ruined the Times of London and it is lefty like the (UK) Guardian now.

He bought the Wall Street Journal about 6 months ago and the writers in Journal are getting lefty while the WSJ editorial board is still pretty good. Sadly, the WSJ ed board has always been pro-illegal.

I think Fox will become more moderate like O’Reilly in the future. My guess is Hannity has not gotten the memo yet.

I don’t have one because I would be afraid of undesirables doing some serious damage to cars and house.

Hello,

Here in SW St. Louis Co, I live in a town with 2 Union Halls. As of yesterday, both Halls have huge signs for state and local races. NO signs for The O.

It is bizarre, but true.
