John F. Kennedy

Posted on 10/14/2008 8:44:03 PM PDT by mimi from mi

WOW! I didn't know John F. Kennedy was married prior to Jackie, but there it is in a newspaper clipping on the web of deception site. That guy sure is a sleuth!

JFK- most overrated president of all time imo.

You might not realize how close the we were to having an all out nuclear exchange with the Soviets in '62.

In fact, most didn't realize until much later how close were were to a cataclysmic nuclear war that during the conflict. One such incident occurred when dropped depth-charges on top of a Soviet submarine armed with nuclear missiles. I am confident, only luck prevented an all out nuclear war during the missile crisis.

What ever you think of Kennedy, he was CIC at the time, arguably during the most dangerous event in American/world history. Through his actions during this standoff, he might have very well helped avoid an all out nuclear war. I base this on the fact that no nuclear war occurred.

So many libs want to claim the JFK legend as their own.

“Wrong forum?” Oh, so having a problem with the “tactical plan” to date is tantamount to treason.

Whatever.

When the smoke clears, some of us will be left to piece things back together and define a Republican Party that can progress throught the 21st Century. I hope you’re counted among them, friend.

Yes, it is the same family. Firmin Vincent Desloge IV was born in St. Louis on Nov 22, 1909 (coincidence?) and married Durie Malcolm in 1939 in Palm Beach, Florida. His great grandfather was Firmin Rene Desloge, born Nantes, France on Feb 17, 1803. He was a lead miner and married in Washington County, Missouri in 1832.

According to passenger records of the SS Nieuw Amsterdam, Durie was born in New York City on Dec 30, 1917. Firmin and Durie were living at 625 S. Skinner Blvd, St. Louis. They were traveling from Boulogne Sur Mer, France on Aug 25, 1939 arriving in New York on Sep 1, 1939.

There is also a book titled, “The Desloge Family In America, A Genealogy” written by Lucie Furstenberg Huger.

JFK - most over-rated president.
Marilyn Monroe - most over-rated bimbo.

Actually, her name was Durie, not Dorie Malcolm. This is old news-it surfaced before Kennedy’s election when it was found in an obscure genealogy book written by an elderly Malcolm relative in the 50s. Clark Clifford, Kennedy’s lawyer wrote about it in his autobio. He got it covered up, although he doesn’t say it that way—he says that the old guy who wrote it was “confused”. Yeah right. The passage in the book even mentioned JFK as the son of Ambassador Kennedy.

As far as JFK is concerned-here’s the money stat: 900 military in Nam when he took power in Jan 1961 and 17, 000 in country the day he died in Nov 1963 (Of course his boy LBJ made it 185,000 in 1965 and 550,000 by 1968)

You omitted the pertinent fact that Kennedy cut a deal with Khrushchev to remove our Jupiter IRBMs from Turkey and Italy to get the Russinas to take their missiles out of Cuba.

100% correct!

Irksome to see Republicans liken themselves to that worthless ass when running for office.

A repulsive liberal in the 60's who would be an even more repulsive lib today in line with his brother.

"Through his actions during this standoff, he might have very well helped avoid an all out nuclear war."

I believe that it was his actions prior to the standoff that nearly caused nuclear war. He was a naive young senator who was suddenly thrust into the presidency (sound familiar?). He failed to act decisively during the Bay of Pigs invasion, which cost numerous lives of US supporters. Khrushchev knew he could be rolled. It was only luck, and a strong military (a legacy of Eisenhower) that prevented nuclear war.
