Obama’s story is that he didn’t LAUNCH the campaign in Ayers’ living room, but rather earlier in a Holiday INN—a Clintonian use of language.

Why bring that in?”

He’s a selfish pig with bad lipstick and a 5-o’clock shadow.

Middle eastern oil isn’t oil. It’s like saying a shell or chicken from somewhere is evil. The TYRANTS in charge of the countries are evil.

Leaving them with oil and in charge isn’t going to make us safer.

Burying our heads in the sand is not a wise move.

Peter Wehner, writing in the Opinion section of the Wall Street Journal, offered: “On many of the most important and controversial issues of the last four decades, Mr. Biden has built a record based on bad assumptions, misguided analyses and flawed judgments. If he had his way, America would be significantly weaker, allies under siege would routinely be cut loose, and the enemies of the U.S. would be stronger.”

To substantiate his assertions, Mr. Wehner--a former deputy assistant to President George W. Bush, is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center--offered the following list of just some of Senator Biden’s positions over the last thirty years:

1) In the 1970s, Mr. Biden opposed giving aid to the South Vietnamese government in its war against the North. Congress's cut-off of funds contributed to the fall of an American ally, helped communism advance, and led to mass death throughout the region.

2) Mr. Biden also advocated defense cuts during wartimes, cuts so massive that both Edmund Muskie and Walter Mondale, leading liberal Democrats at the time, opposed them. [Some more gravitas that, to be further left than Muskie or Mondale!]

3) In the early 1980s, Mr. Biden was a leading opponent of President Ronald Reagan's efforts to fund the Nicaraguan Contras. He also opposed Reagan's efforts to send military assistance to the pro-American government in El Salvador, which at the time was battling the FMLN, a Soviet-supported Marxist group.

4) Biden was a fierce opponent of Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative. Mr. Biden voted against funding SDI, saying, "The president's continued adherence to [SDI] constitutes one of the most reckless and irresponsible acts in the history of modern statecraft." [What gravitas, to fall on your knees before the Soviets! Apparently, Joe Biden wanted the Cold War to continue without end. How disappointed he must have been when the Soviet Union came crashing to a halt! How enlivened he might be to see Putin trying to resurrect the old whore! Americans terrorized by the Soviet threats of nuclear annihilation must be the sort of balance Mister Biden desires. Imagine how he will appease the Islamic terror state of Iran as they acquire nuclear capabilities. Does Biden even realize how insane the Iranians are in their lust to instigate annihilation of themselves in the name of their moon god, Allah? Clearly Biden hasn’t a clue!]

5) Biden opposed the U.S. dropping out of the Anti ballistic Missile Treaty after the collapse of the Soviet Union (which was the co-signatory to the ABM Treaty) and the end of the Cold War. [Missile technologies from Russia, North Korean, and China have been the staple of arms backing up the bluster from Iran and other terrorist states and which now threaten to become capable of delivering nuclear devastation upon not only Israel, but Japan and the USA. Without development in anti-missile technology which Biden opposed, we would be starting the countering systems way behind. What kind of gravitas settles for only annihilation rather than an effort to cancel an enemy's weapons before they're used?]

6) Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. The world later learned he was much closer to attaining a nuclear weapon than we had believed. President George H.W. Bush sought war authorization from Congress. Mr. Biden voted against the first Gulf War, asking: "What vital interests of the United States justify sending Americans to their deaths in the sands of Saudi Arabia?"

7) In 2006, after having voted three years earlier to authorize President George W. Bush's war to liberate Iraq, Biden argued for the partition of Iraq into three separate states, which would have led to its crack-up. [The splitting into three states would no doubt have given the southern-most to Iranian control on the borders of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia (!), established a Syrian enclave of Baathists in the middle, and created on Turkey’s border another launching site for separatist Kurds waging guerrilla warfare against Turkey, a situation which our NATO ally could only handle with full scale military action, to devastate the area in order to end the bloody incursions into Northern Turkey. Victory over the unwelcome terrorist using Iraq to wage war against US troops, on the other hand, has made it possible for Iraqis to realize their own governing force and through revenue sharing unite the three major regions Biden wanted separated. In Biden’s approach, three oozing sores would be preferable to one self-medicated healing.]

8) In 2007, Biden opposed Bush's troop surge in Iraq, calling it a "tragic mistake." Without the surge, the Iraq war would have been lost, giving jihadists their most important victory ever. [Since Barry Obama cannot admit he was abjectly wrong regarding the surge, we cannot expect his gravitas gaffestar to admit it either. I wonder, do they even recognize victory since they have invested so much in having a continuous oozing sore? When did Democrats decide constant Islamic terrorism sores for the world are superior to killing the jihadis?]

Mr. Wehner concludes: “There are few members of Congress whose record on national security matters can be judged … as consistently bad as Joseph Biden's. It's true that Sarah Palin has precious little experience in national security affairs. But in this instance, no record beats a manifestly bad one.”

What does autism have to do with the federal government? Why do Republicans always sound like statists in these things?

Because they are statists, you say? Oh, okay.
