Interesting stuff. The nearly 2:1 Hispanic split in favor of the Dems seems a bit generous to me. I double-checked, and over the past three decades Hispanics have favored Dems with 60% or more of the vote. However, during his re-election Bush grabbed just over 40% of this vote.
Paper on 2004 Hispanic voting
Without me digging it up, have the polls this year (recognizing they're oversampling Dems) shown Hispanics in the 65% range?

Yes, I am being conservative in my estimations regarding the Hispanics voting pattern.

Latest TIPP internals show that Obama is getting 59% of the Hispanic vote, six points ahead of Kerry’s 53% in 2004. McCain is getting 29%, about 15 points less than Bush’s 44% in 2004.
The latest set of Gallup weekly internals has Obama getting 60% of the Hispanic vote, as opposed to 31% for McCain.
